I used the senville concealed duct unit at my rental house to replace window units and has worked great so far so I bought the 48 k unit for my house. Used this unit for remodel and is great because you can set it in many directions to fit your needs. Installation is not very difficult but you have to be very cautious. It took me 3 days to fully install with the last day figuring out that the control did not function correctly after rearranging wires and dip switches a double power to inside and outside units I bought a 24v thermostat removed the Two wire communication set up and ran 18/7 to the inside unit and from the inside unit to thermostat. And BOOM ! Worked! Seems to work well in Texas heat. The outdoor unit is not noisy at all. ... show more

Manuals read weirdly(I’m used to Lenox, carrier, Rheem, Ruud, diakin, Amana). The manuals have the info you need if you know what you’re looking for. Model number appears to have two varients of system? (Aside from btu and tonnage). Outdoor unit connected flawlessly to the pre existing ac system power, the system allows for multiple control scenarios and is very versatile and appears smarter than most people are used to. Indoor air handler has some fun duct sizing on the outlet for 4 tons. Built in air filter compartment is thoughtful but not exactly sized and needs an extra support(easily field installed). The controller that comes with is not a thermostat. The air handler takes temperature after the evaporator and before the heater. This enables for some weird scenarios especially if your ductwork falls out of the thermal envelope and is poorly insulated. Allows for adjustments based on static pressure but it does not appear to need it out of the box with my ductwork(i cannot tell it it’s auto configuring itself). The system will require an electrician or load center and breakers if you have power for the aux heater. Otherwise the system is equipped only for the fan but easily changes between 120-240. Manual reads as tho outdoor unit can power indoor unit in some scenarios. The flare fittings that came with are meh and one leaked even properly torqued with nylog. Definitely get the service caps on the valves tight. Once I had the system installed and a new flare on it started cooling perfectly with a little more measured in refrigerant because I had longer lines. It’s now even run through a few 95-100 days and ran perfectly. The controller is weird in the sense that turning it down all the way will make it cool faster because it’s an inverter system that takes temp in the air handler. Good for the price ... show more

Be sure to check for damages when you get the unit! Mine was damaged and I didn't notice until much later. The installation manual is absolute garbage! Useless and confusing! Fortunately, that's the worst of it. I do have some concerns with the high voltage being placed right next to the microcontroller with NO divider! Seems very wrong to me. The unit itself was very easy to install. The inside unit came apart quickly which allowed for an easier installation. Was able to wire it in conventionally at first, then later on, with a few flips of a dip switch convert it over to RS232. Came with remote and thermostat no extra charge. I’m so far very impressed with the quality of this unit and how easy everything went together. I am a Licensed Electrician/Refrigeration Technician and have been retired for three years so I installed this unit myself. I would say it could be confusing to the inexperienced person, so I would expect to have to pay for the installation should be approximately 2,000.00$ give or take. Very quiet unit and very Satisfied customer.. I did get the 10,000 watt auxiliary heat. Well worth the money. 4,500.00 in my driveway. ... show more
