  • My 2nd CUK purchase :)
Edit: I did end up having some issues that were sorted out. PC would crash randomly while playing certain games, but other games were fine. Testing looked like one of my cpu cores was doing nothing, but I am not an experienced troubleshooter, so I told support what I saw and asked about repair options. Unfortunately, I had to send the entire pc back for them to test and repair, and I had to pay for shipping. It didn't take horribly long for them to diagnose and repair it, and they shipped it back to me. When I got it back, the outer shipping box looked fine, but the pc had a pretty hefty dent in the top. I sent in pics and they sent me a mailing label. Before it arrived to them, it was marked as "out for delivery" and stayed that way for quite a while. Eventually they put in a missing package claim on my behalf, it was accepted, and I got a brand new pc out of it all. While the situation sucked, the customer service was great and kept me informed every step of the way, really appreciated and I will likely buy from them again. Just be safe about mailing your hard drive, either remove it entirely, or transfer your documents to another drive. I'm glad my pc was for gaming only Original: My last PC still performs well after a couple years, so I decided to go with another CUK build in the same style (I use a 2 pc setup for streaming). Overall really solid build, I did have a slight issue getting the packing foam out (ended up bending the gpu weight bracket slightly because the foam expanded around it and I couldn't reach in to unscrew it, but it bent right back easily). Also had a sticker on the glass panel that was a huge pain to take off. That took me longer than the rest of the setup. Hardware all performs about average (based on 3DMark, don't bother using UserBenchmark). A little bloatware on setup, but that's unavoidable these days, didn't take long to uninstall the extra junk. They include all the extra hardware and paperwork from all the components, which is nice. Very happy with how it all turned out. So far gaming has been smooth, I mostly play Destiny 2 and get a constant 144 fps on 1440p (maybe time to upgrade to 4k?) and temps all stay pretty low. I'll update this review if I have any issues come up, but my 3080 ti build from them a couple years ago has yet to have any issues, so I'm confident this 4090 build will be fine :) ... show more

  • Impressed
This is my first pre-built gaming PC purchase and so far I don't regret it. I usually build my own rigs but I wanted to check out what pre-builts are like nowadays. Searched around for something with good reviews and came across CUK. Now, I was initially worried about the monster 4090 being much too heavy to survive shipping, but the GPU is secured with a brace and packing foam on top of that, such that there is no way for the GPU to move or jostle around. The entire box was packed well with cardboard-reinforced foam and heavy duty bubble wrap on all sides. The PC arrived in flawless condition with not even a scuff or dent anywhere on the case. Curiously, the box art depicts the PC with an open water loop, but I did receive exactly what was shown in the listing here in Amazon, which mentions only mentions a liquid cooler. The 4090 included was an ASUS TUF variant, which is also the only RGB LED lit part on the entire build (good news if you're the type of person who hates RGB). Overall, very classy and understated. The RAM is generic (no heat spreader, no available XMP profile) but does the job and is exactly what was stated in the description. The MSI motherboard included is basic with no bells or whistles besides the wi-fi, and the IO shield was installed a bit sloppily with a significant amount of space between it and the motherboard connectors, though that might be more the case's fault than anything. Cable routing is excellent and tidy. I would have preferred the option for a dual SSD build, but the included supplemental HDD is fine if a bit slow. I'll probably add my own second SSD at some point. The smoked glass panel hides most of the build in low light, so it definitely gives the impression of a sleeper. Software wise, there is no bloatware included. It's pretty much a fresh install of Windows 11 with a few touches by the manufacturer to remind you who built it. The included Nvidia drivers were a bit outdated but updating them is no biggie. The PC runs anything I throw at it at silky smooth frame rates at 4K. If you're like me and are on the fence about trusting a pre-built, give these guys a try. I'm very impressed with the PC overall and I'll probably look to CUK again in the future for my next pre-built purchase. I'll update this review if I ever need to use their support or warranty for some reason. ... show more

  • One whole wasted month with nothing to show for it - Broken, Poor Quality, and a used HDD with Porn
The media could not be loaded. Just an absolutely terrible experience with this PC. After spending nearly $4000 on a computer I expected to open the box, and have nothing but a great experience. Wrong. So very wrong. First it arrives damaged and missing components after taking a week to arrive. So it has to be mailed back. It takes a week to get to them. Sits are their facility for a week. Then week three it ships back to me. Nearly a whole month after the original order, a computer finally arrives undamaged. Hook it up. And the Bluetooth is broken. None of my Bluetooth devices will connect. Check the reviews, apparently that's just a known issue for this $4000 computer to have trash Bluetooth and I have to buy my own dongle. Also the fans in this thing are crazy loud. Like they were put in wrong and rattle when they spin up. Oh and like the cherry on top of this awful experience... the second hard drive that comes preinstalled.... was used had gigs of PORN and applications on it!!! Also if you have any customer service issues. They cut and run instantly at 5pm on Friday, so don't expect any help or updates Saturday or Sunday just gotta sit and wait with any problems till they get back Monday. The actual customer service employees when communicating with you are incredibly polite. But holy crap literally every other single aspect has been awful. I was given a refund and apology but like, is that really enough? I feel so incredibly disappointed with this whole process. ... show more
