I got this topper for my sons bed because my Great Dane chewed a few holes in his expensive mattress and instead of replacing it I hoped this to be a good alternative. In theory it is. You can’t even tell there are holes in his mattress with it on. However, the topper doesn’t like to stay put. It slides off to the side, off the edge of his bed that’s not against his wall, constantly. And it’s really really soft. There’s no sense of firmness to it. Which is fine, if you want something soft. The foam is too hard for me. I sink in a little in my mid section and don't sink in at all near my head so my neck feels pressure. Didn't like it. I will probably try the majestic 3 zone topper that has multiple zones of varying firmness instead. Also their transcend memory foam is more plush and soft, this foam is hard. ... show more

    • I don't know what I was expecting from this... but it swallows me...
I am a bigger guy - not huge, but may imposing, to a degree? 6', currently around 225. I have a foam mattress, and putting this on top of it makes for a very difficult space to get out of. By the time I wake in the morning, I feel like I am swallowed by my mattress and this topper. I reckon, that maybe if I had a firmer mattress underneath, this would be wonderful. I don't, and subsequently, it's not. I don't notice a distinguishable difference between what I had and this temperature wise either. So why am I still rating this a four? 1. It keeps its shape. I've been sleeping on it for a couple of weeks and it does a great job retaining its shape, so far. 2. It stays put. I move a lot in my sleep. I have my bed covered with fitted sheets and a pad, and this hasn't budged a bit for me. I'd like to try it with a little more action, and maybe I can come back when I do... if you know what I mean. 3. It has been really comfortable for my kids. My kids all clock in at less than 80 lbs each. The three together might be less than 200. They all say this has been very comfortable when they sneak into my bed and steal my space for themselves. I'll be switching mattresses soon enough, and if I remember to come back here, I can give you more details then. ... show more

    • New life!
I've had my very expensive Serta mattress for maybe 5 years, and it's starting to be less comfortable, and have body prints. I got this topper to give new life, and it's excellent! Very nice quality.
