  • Clip it and rip it... this mic doesn't miss a beat.
I am a composer by trade, and recently found myself acting as an ADR recordist for an ultra-low budget film produced locally, so I had to purchase some additional mics similar to or exactly the same as was used on set, so I ordered one of these puppies, and let me tell you--without the wireless component, and instead using along with a Rode VXLR+ was extremely easy to set up, and offered better-than-wireless recording quality, without the telltale pops and crackles from the wireless, so I was really able to hear the full quality of this lav mic. It offers crisp, clean audio in the sweet spot of 50Hz to 18kHz. The 360 degree pickup meant the talent could easily pivot, turn, and lean into whatever position they were in originally on set, without losing volume or tonal consistency. It captured pretty evenly even off-axis. The SPL rating up to 130 dB is no joke, and did pretty well even when we took the ADR session mobile to record in traffic and construction environments to match production audio. Th 5' cable is sturdy, but using it without a wireless pack meant it was a bit short, so keep that in mind if you're going studio like I did. It's pocket-sized, super light-weight, and would be incredibly discrete if necessary for new, podcasts, theater, or VR applications. For the price, this microphone is an absolute unsung hero you can clip and forget without breaking the bank. ... show more

  • God's word is heard ...
Set this up for my Pastor and it has been a reliable replacement for our legacy Sennheiser body pack microphones. Definitely a reliable replacement microphone

  • OMG Everyone is Picky
This mic works like a charm. Not too high. Not too deep. Just right. And anyway, there’s always post processing. I like the range. I like the ouch cord. I like the clip, which some irritable people comment about because they can’t seem to grasp the function of an alligator clip that can be REVERSED simply by taking it off, turning it over, and reattaching it. I like that I can plug it into my Zoom or into my PC or into my phone. It’s so, so simple and easy. But wait Johnny, that’s not all! Bluetooth mics die. Plug in mics NEVER die. Score that based on your own working environment and experience. For me? I want my mic on when I turn it on: first time, every time. Value of that? Priceless. Try it out. ... show more

  • Best high SPL lavalier mic with a TRS jack
I can't find anything even remotely close to this lavalier. What I wanted was a small mic that I can attach to my car to record my runs, complete with a very loud exhaust system. I've tried a few lavalier mics on the market, but many of them have a very low SPL rating, meaning that recording loudness beyond a certain db level will just result in distortion; put it simply, the microphone would go deaf. Rode is a good choice but I needed a TRS jack to work with my GoPro, so the Sennheiser was my natural choice. At 130db SPL rating, it was able to record my vehicle's sounds in a clarity and level that I can accept, though the actual fidelity of the audio left a bit to desire. That said, it's a lavalier mic. For its size, it does a very good job based on my requirements. If I wanted any better, I'd probably have to settle for a larger mic or an external powered mic. If you want to record any super loud audio with a small mic, the ME2-II is an excellent choice. ... show more

  • This is a great lapel mic.
This lapel mic delivers just like the description says. BUT... If Amazon's delivery drivers could read instructions and place items where they belong, it'd be a bonafide miracle of astronomical proportions. Where these drivers place packages, screams 'STEAL ME!" Do better Amazon.

  • They last about a wedding season
The OG Sennheiser version that this is works the best. Don't waste your money on the knockoffs. Having said that this will only last a wedding season or slightly less. The cable close to the connection and the cable close to the mic get handled the most and will crinkle over time and sometimes expose bare wire. My guess is the only way to get better quality is to buy better systems and I'm not talking about Shure or Sennheiser or EV. By buying better quality I'm referring to ones that are for higher end units that cost two to three to four times as much. The kind that is normally for movie industry etc. Basically just plan on spending $115 every nine months to a year. ... show more
