Compact receiver, great sound quality, no interference
style: MKE2 Lavalier Pro Set Pattern: Microphone
This is by far one of the most robust, high-performing, and simple wireless microphone systems I've ever used. I was a TV broadcast technician for 28 years and have spent my last five in the healthcare industry. I've used many wireless systems from Lectrosonics, Sony, Sennheiser, Rode, Azden, and Audio-Technica and this AVX system delivers pro-quality audio in a simple, compact package. I was skeptical at first, but the range and clarity is incredible. My previous Sennheiser system was solid, but required a cable for the receiver to plug in to the XLR input and the antennas were frail and eventually lost their flexible coating. If you're using a compact pro video camera, that means with other systems you need a cold shoe mount and a double bracket if you need more than one microphone--that makes the camera more unwieldy. Not with this system. The receiver plugs directly in to the XLR port, and on those days when I need to run three mics into a mixer, the receivers fit neatly without a hassle. These have a solid build quality, too. The bodypack transmitter is metal, not plastic, and the receiver is mostly metal as well. With this system I recommend sticking with the Sennheiser microphones--spend a little extra and get the MKE2. I tried to use an off-brand microphone as a backup and it did not provide good shielding from interference, so it picked up humming and sometimes crackling. I've never had that from ANY Sennheiser lavaliere microphone. This system is worth every penny, especially if you're working solo. ... show more

Great system and super easy to use
style: ME2 Lavalier Set Pattern: Microphone
i’ve used this system before on past projects but always had to rent them until i decided to become an owner myself. the plug and play system is great for gorilla style filming or just as a one man band. i paired mine up with a Zoom h6 recorder to give me full control and they have both been a great addition. although it provides excellent sound, i’m thinking of replacing the lav as i get some static in the most basic of motion but the connectivity will give you so much range and not limit you from being too far from your subject. i see myself certainly purchasing another for more complex projects. ... show more

Quality of the mic is great, as expected from these guys
style: ME2 Lavalier Set Pattern: Microphone
Quality of the mic is great, as expected from these guys. I was transitioning from a single Sennheiser mic setup, to two of these that I can plug into a zoom when I need to mic more than one person. Biggest downside, which I didn't consider before purchse, was that this mic is not powered by AA's (as opposed to my old one). While in some ways this is great (less waste), for long shoots I don't like that I can't just keep some extra AA's in my bag just in case. Have to have time to recharge, or purchase extra battery packs which are much more expensive than AA's. ... show more

Digital Pureness

Easy Peezy - If you need professional level wireless audio with a no hassle set up and configurations - This is a great system. -- I added the hand held mic as an add on -- makes for passing the mic or man on the street interviews seamless Audio Quality is DIGITAL perfection with a realistic range of about 200 feet in urban environments. Outdoors in open areas you could expect more. Mic Quality: This is a professional lavalier mic, with nice background suppression of noise, and the diminutive size allows hiding this easy on the talent. diminutive. Battery Life: Rvcr is at least 3 hours, the xmiter about 8 (both have USB charging ports) Recommed a spare set of batteries on the road. With these being rather small and having high quality - makes a very good interface for your DSLR video productions (comes with an XLR to mini interface) I have some additional comments and photos on the truetoad site - ... show more

This microphone is amazing. I researched lavalier mics for a long time because I really wanted to get something that would come close to film quality audio as I could get so I could make great videos for my business. This mic was certainly worth the investment and I paired it with a ZoomH6. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The audio is far better than the Blue Yeti USB microphone I invested in years ago. I'm amazed at how it packs so much quality into such a small device. Moreover, I love that it automatically finds open channels. So I can pick it up and just start recording—it's very much a "pick up and go" solution built for maximum convenience and speed. ... show more

I use these every day
style: ME2 Lavalier Set Pattern: Microphone
I'm a videographer so with my clients, sound is extremely important. This is definitely the best microphone system I've ever owned. I record livestreams and web content every day and the audio is so crisp and clean. I've used these with clients in Manhattan as well with clients in rural areas and I've never lost a signal. It is such an easy system to use I'd definitely recommend trying out this system if you need something easy and reliable. ... show more

I never did a review before!!! I bought this. But I love this and just wanted to say how grateful I am to the makers. I have a small YouTube channel in which, we love teaching people to garden and cook their own foods. The hardest part of our videos has been the audio quality because we live in Virginia, where we have a lot of wind and noise from the neighborhood. I have never been train in audio or video, but have a passion to learn and create excellent videos for our viewer. Thank you all for making it so simple that even for ordinary people can create awesome audio. Here is my setup with Sennheiser AVX Wireless, my SonyA6500, with Beyond Gimbal. Love it!! ... show more
