3/6/23- this is day 1 (picture below) I'm 5'3" so lifting this up to the middle of the roof and tightening the straps was a bit challenging and I ended up putting it on a little too far back so the pollen is still getting on the hood. But, for the most part it's doing what I bought it to do! My designated parking spot is directly under 2 giant live oak trees and my white car was constantly getting covered with leaves and pollen! Which I am allergic to! the reviews I read before buying said the wind was a problem for them, well, I took my leaf blower to it to test and it seemed to hold up pretty good so we'll see when the real wind blows! Overall I'm happy with this umbrella and the more I put it up and down the easier it will be. Oh and be aware of the sensitivity of the remote and the button on the handle, the slightest touch sets it off in one direction or the other.! ... show more

This umbrella covers my car completely but if you have a coupe you will need some additional adjustable straps to anchor the front and back of the umbrella from the wheels. Also the built in straps should be at least 1 foot longer. In my case this is not very practical to have the umbrella set this way but at least it is very well anchored. I need to find a bungee cord with plastic hooks to make the on and off process faster and easier. I feel that options for different solution should come in the box or at least they should offer the options, is not that complicated. So I am giving the product only 3 star because this issue was not clearly explained in the specs. ... show more

First, this isn't meant to replace a garage or carport. It is for when you are traveling, camping, etc. We were skeptical if it would hold up but wanted something to protect the car from tree sap when parked during camping, or when pulled over at a rest stop to keep the temperatures down in the hot summer travel vacation. We are several weeks into our summer vacation and it has worked exceptionally well. Setup time after learning how it works, is literally under 2 minutes from pulling out of the trunk, to walking away. Some one asked about bird poop. I only came across one instance of seeing a small white duce and easily brushed it off. It's not like we are parking under a high wire where tons of birds are around. It also comes in handy as a shade tent with the optional ground stand. As long as the wind isn't bad, it's perfect. Just anchor down the corners with longer straps. I didn't think I needed it to be motorized but wow, that works very cool! Just tap the button or remote and it expands or folds within about 10 seconds. It folds up about the size of say 4 umbrellas mashed together. Not bad at all. My only wish would be for them to make one just a little longer for the big SUVs. Currently we move it forward to cover the front hood more than the back. Great investment! ... show more

Love this product. It took a few tries to figure it out. A male friend put it up first time but I had to handle afterwards. Umbrella gets caught either on antenna or top of car brackets so I now know what to pay attention to when unfolding. I live in Houston so I really needed some shade since my Toyota Matrix is Black on Black leather. So far I'm really loving it ... show more

It helps to put this on if you’re taller than me. I’m 5”7. I have to open my back car door and stand on the door frame. The first time you put it on is a bit of a pain but if you’re someone who is good with straps it shouldn’t be a problem. Each time I put it on I get faster and better with the straps. I have a midsize sedan so if you have anything bigger than that then you’ll have to use a stepladder. This works really well with the heat; I feel an enormous difference in temperature in my car. It charges great, you can charge it either in my car or inside. I love it! ... show more

Please do not waste your money on this inferior, and useless product. This is complete junk, and I am sorry I spent so much money on it. The umbrella is poorly made, not at all durable and cannot stand up to desert sun and temperature. It was a pain in the rear to set up and didn't even do its job. Look elsewhere for a product to protect your car from the ever increasing heat, because this product will not help you do anything except waste time and money. ... show more

1st attempt was easy. All I need to do now is even the tie downs placed around the umbrella. So far everything is perfect. Just place it on the roof of the vehicle and lock it down with suction cup, then press the unfold button on the Keychain and watch the magic happen. Tie down straps placed around the vehicle and done. Even the coverage over the vehicle is perfectly fine. Great buy. ... show more

I loved the product. Thought it was well made, worked as promised and was easy to use. unfortunately, I live by the water in SW Florida and the evening winds were too strong. While I experienced NO rips as the cover has snaps to the frame, which are easily reattached. However, it was becoming a daily event and I finally returned the product.
