If you intend to stick these lights to a surface I would recommend also buying velcro strips. The adhesion stickers do not work even if you clean the surface with the alcohol wipes they provide.

"Meh". Not great. But for the price it makes decent accent lights with Wifi and Alexa. Works fine, but Alexa only let's you turn on/off, brightness, and change color but not "mode" (see more below). Like other cheap LEDs: 1) Not very bright. 2) Color temperature options are a joke and incredibly inaccurate. 3) Only really has a dozen or so colors. 4) Only offers about 4 real brightness levels. Music sync is fine, not good, not bad (it changes colors at least when it hears a sudden change between loud/quiet). ... show more

When I originally purchased these lights, they worked fine. Easy to connect to wifi via the app, and easy to link to other services like Google Home or SmartThings. However as of August 1, 2025, the Sengled Home app appears to no longer be functioning, including authentication back to their server. The worst part is that apparently the API to connect to other linked services is no longer working as well. I.E. there is no way to control the lights via the Sengled app or any other connected app. From reading around on various sources, this may have started happening a few weeks ago, but is gradually hitting their userbase as API links are gradually needing to be renewed and fail. ... show more

In comparison with a led strip, you can use it and place it different ways, it includes a stand also that gives you more options. Bare in mind they were a little smaller than expected, but I’m happy with this purchase
