This is more like a 4.5 star review. Overall, I think this is an excellent product. At first using it I was very skeptical because the anti-pinch would always seem to activate and freeze the drum in place. This is not good if you are not home because the cat cannot enter the box while this safety feature is triggered. As it turns out this was my fault because I did not have the litter mat fully secure under the lip where it lies and it was triggering the laser sensors. When assembled and working correctly this litter box has been great! My cat took to it right away and was curious to watch while it cleans. I change the waste bucket garbage bags every 2-3 days because there is only so much scent the attached deodorizer can mask. I do a full cleaning(litter change) about every week as well as cleaning the whole unit. While cleaning I learned not to remove the inside sifter because I found it to be a PIA to put back on. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase, and find it to be much more convenient than the traditional litter box. (IMHO). If the directions were a little more clear with setup and sifter was easy to put back on I would give it 5 stars. But those are only the small negatives I can find.

I have waited to write this review in order to know how well this unit works. I have 3 cats using this, and one loves to play in the box while it does its thing. Unlike another model, this unit waits for the cat to jump back out and then continues on the cleaning. This same cat loves to spread the litter, and has gotten the sensors dirty twice. The unit shows the code, and a simple wiping down of the sensors clears the code. I have owned this unit for a bit over a month and have just used the last litter bag that came with the unit. With that said, it cleans up after 3 cats and I have not allowed it to become to show a code...I empty it once ai see it is full enough, which is usually 3-4 days. I also have a large box of litter delivered monthly, and it now lasts for the full month for the next delivery, indicating I am using far less litter with the unit. I was buying the delivery plus an additional 2 jugs of litter each month...so saving is showing! If you have one or more cats, I recommend this unit for their bathroom care. It saves you and your wallet, and you see it immediately.

Has reduced daily trips to scooping litter since it does it automatically now, however, weekly cleaning can be challenging if the litter isn’t filled to the max line. When it’s not at max, urine seeps through the waterproof lined pad and creates a mess underneath. (See pics). Would be nice to have a second liner included so my cat can still use the litter box while the liner is actively drying during cleanings. Otherwise, extremely happy with the product and how much easier it is to just take out the litter from the bottom compartment once a week instead of scooping daily.

It works but definitely not great! It is easy to take apart and clean, but it doesn’t get all the chunks out and I’ve tried both attachments. However my kitty’s will poop in this one and not the elspet. Idk. I would recommend it on a budget, just keep an eye on it until you get used to it.

I have a litter robot, which is great, but I needed a 2nd litter box but didn’t want to pay another $700 for another robot. There are a lot of options now for automatic litter boxes- all with mixed reviews that look similar. I went with this litter box because it had great reviews. Overall I’m very impressed with this thing. It’s a good size- small enough to fit in my room but big enough to fit a 20# cat. It’s quiet when it cycles. Way quieter and quicker than my litter robot 3. The bin holds a large amount of waste. The only con is that the waste bin allows itself to get TOO full and when you go to empty it some of the waste becomes dislodged from the machine and falls onto the floor. Really not a deal breaker. You just clean up a small mess or change the bag before it’s full. I can’t speak for the longevity of this thing, but I’ve given it about a month and so far I’m loving it!

Worth the money!! Life changer here. Wow 😮 nice not having to scoop liter everyday!! Assembly is easy folks. Comes with directions but most of it is assembled so easy to do. I’ve had it for over a month I think now and no issues or complaints so far except… one of my cats are a bit scared of it he just isn’t sure yet. I think the noise of it self cleaning is probably what is causing him to be Leary to use it. But my girl cat she at first used it to just chill in (LOL) and when she would leave it it then was activated and each time after chilling in it lol she’d watch it move. So I ended up putting a tiny amount of old litter in it so they would smell that and it worked for her as she knows now what it’s for and uses it with no problem 😌 hopefully soon my other cat will learn to use it too. Seriously though I was so scared and so skeptical bc I don’t want my cats getting hurt but so far it is safe and I feel it’s durable and not cheap at all. Size is perfect as well. Love this and you guys I know we’re all on a budget but this saves me from more back pain and no smelly scooping!!

This is a beautiful self cleaning cat litter box. I am using it for my kitty who was litter trained prior to purchase. The kitty jumped right into it and had no accidents. The automated function keeps it clean and smell free. It is well constructed and made from durable material. The size is great- its designed makes it look beautiful no matter the size.
