Description

Plug and play factory sound bar enhancement for your Jeep JL/JT Wrangler and no need to remove or cut up your sound bar for this upgrade! Select Increments JLJT-Pods are compatible with all 2018 & up Jeep Wrangler JL & JL Unlimited models, and all 2020 & newer JT Gladiators. Standard audio systems upgrade to 6.5” or 6.75” 2-way speakers while the premium Alpine systems upgrade to 6.5” or 6.75” Component Speakers that feature separate tweeters. JLJT-Pods have a textured finish to match your sound bar and install easily – just remove the factory grilles and speakers, then attach the JLJT-Pods by re-using the factory grille screws. The new, larger speakers in the JLJT-Pods will line up with the sound bar woofer holes so the magnets can drop through as needed with room to spare. The new speakers then access air space in the entire sound bar, as well as the new area created by the pods for stellar sound! Most 6.5” and 6.75” speakers are compatible and only some with fairly large magnets may not fit (max. mounting depth of about 2-5/8”, max. magnet diameter just over 3-1/2”). JLJT-Pods are slim so the new speakers are just an inch lower than the factory speakers were. Included foam gaskets provide an airtight seal between the pods and the sound bar. Best of all, every version includes the specific wire harnesses needed to connect to the factory sound bar harnesses for plug and play installation! All the research has been done for you with this much needed upgrade. Detailed instructions with many photos are included. Make sure to get the version needed for your specific system.

Easy to install and look good enough in a Jeep Wrangler. The foam was a nice touch in sealing the enclosure and eliminating vibration. Instructions were spot on. Installed Hertz 6.5” coaxial speakers and the magnet fit perfectly with no cutting required. My only complaints are the branding on the surface, ugly screws with washers and the dimple used to gauge where to drill for a tweeter. For $140, a few small changes could make them perfect. ... show more

This was a quick and easy way to upgrade the soundbar speakers. No cutting or pulling the soundbar out of the Jeep. I used Recoil components and pulled the rubber cover off of the magnet so it would fit better. I used half inch foam tape around the base and the speaker mounting hole. Used more foam tape around the connectors to keep them from rattling. I did have a buzzing sound from one of the speakers like another reviewer mentioned. I realized it was because when the magnet goes in the hole of the old 4 inch speaker the plastic was hitting the wire connection point of the speaker, which caused it to bend in and the silver tinsel wires were laying against the woofer cone. Once I bent it back and just moved the wire terminals out of the way, it was fixed. Unlike what another reviewer said, I got a major increase in bass. I was originally going to put 6x9s but ran into time restraints and I knew this would be a quick install. I can't imagine 6x9's sounding much better than this. Highly recommend. ... show more

Direct replacement and great upgrade for my Jeep JLU soundbar paired with Kicker KM Marine 6.5” speaker. Had to cut original sound bar due to the marine speakers being a bit larger than typical 6.5” speakers so the magnet would not go into the existing speaker hole. Brought sound to life in my 22’ JT!
Perfect fit for JBL component set 6.5’s, be careful on choice of 6.5 mid since there isn’t much room for a large magnet in the pods , the tweeter isn’t pre holed so anything will fit , my component set came with a 1” tweet. Very easy install as the kit came with everything u need to complete , keep in mind u will need to do some wiring if using a component set, if using a full range 6.5 it’s plug and play. I stuffed some fiber fill up in the sound bar and used sound deadening tape all around the inside of the pod as well for a tight seal. Sound is night and day compared to stock. I have added a punch powered sub and changed the speakers all around the jeep and am now very happy with overall sound 🤘 ... show more

So close…
The pods were too thick for the factory bolts, necessitating getting longer bolts of a thread style that was very hard to find. The have a textured appearance but looked a lot different to my roll bar. Maybe I got a bad one, but not impressed..
