My father was a watchmaker in the 60-80's and he loved the Seiko Brand. After his passing I never wanted to wear a watch be a it was difficult seeking a watchmaker. I grew old and decided a Seiko was going to adorn my wrist til my passing. I love this gift from my family. Yes there are more beautiful ones to choose from but this one suits me. I love this watch! It says you can dress it up or down. But this is more a dress watch, not a jeans watch. If you like to be dressy on a daily basis, then this is a good bet. Again, prettier in person than in the picture. I really want to keep this watch. But I cannot see the second hand at all, and have to strain to read the dial without my glasses. Relutctant to return it, but numbers on face are too small for me to read without my glasses. Good price for a beautiful watch. SEIKO, please make this in a 28 mm case with silver face and withOUT the date feature at the 3 oclock setting, and with Roman numerals to complete the dress up feel. ... show more

I loved the look of the watch, but I think it was used. When I opened the package, there was no user instructions included and the watch was laying in the Seiko box - not placed around the small pillow included in the box. The reason I'm returning the watch is because the day/date mechanism does not work. Thinking I didn't know how to set it (which I DO because my last Seiko had a day date option also), I took it to my local jewler and asked for their help. They set the watch and 4 hours later it had progressed 2 days ahead of time! I give up - back it goes!!!! ... show more
