Description

An automatic movement with manual winding capability anchors the character of the Seiko SRPK71. Designed as part of the Seiko 5 Sports U.S. Special Creation, this watch draws inspiration from vintage racing stripes, pairing bold color with purposeful construction. The black uni-directional bezel frames a highly legible red dial, while luminous hands and markers ensure clarity in changing light. A red seconds hand adds precision and a pop of sporty detail. Built in stainless steel with a Hardlex crystal, it offers durability and 100M water resistance for everyday confidence. The black-and- red striped nylon strap provides both comfort and a secure fit, even over a racing uniform or casual attire. A screwdown see-through caseback lets you admire the 24-jewel movement at work, reflecting Seiko’s heritage in mechanical watchmaking. Designed for men who appreciate precision, style, and functionality, this timepiece effortlessly balances luxury watches for men appeal with practical performance. Perfect for collectors and active lifestyles alike, it’s a statement in motion.

  • Stunning finishes, a few nit picks from a watch "perfectionist". Otherwise a great value piece Stunning finishes, a few nit picks from a watch "perfectionist". Otherwise a great value piece
Size: STD - Rotating Bezel Color: Silver - SRPD63
Stunning, quiet and smooth at all times. Holds its auto/manual winding well (almost 2 days still held its time while I was away from home and the watch was sitting, and was only off by a dozen seconds). The finish is extremely well detailed, band is brushed smooth and consistently, and I can find no imperfections on the dial using a magnifying glass. The rotating bezel and movement also feel solid and refined when adjusting. A few nit pick derogatories: the lume, which is not expected to be great at this pricepoint. It is serviceable and bright initially (see 2nd picture it does look nice), but also loses its glow very quickly (less than 30 minutes). The offset angled crown is difficult to pull out of its socket, the flared case almost completely obstructs it. Also not a screw down so i wouldn't take this into any water, nit pick again, and it is still easily useable as a daily. Also, the last tiniest complaint, but the seconds hand marker dot is on the opposite end of where it actually points. Not a real problem if you know this prior, but can make it difficult if trying to use as a timer in the dark, as the lume dot points 180 degrees opposite of what the seconds hand is actually at. Sizing: Although the band's lugs appear to be held together with screws, they are not! Use a pin pusher in the direction of the arrows, what appears to be tiny screws are actually the ends of shimmed metal that hold each pin in Value: You can often find this watch below its $299 msrp, at that price it is still worth it new. But if you can find closer to $240 or less, it is an absolute steal. Reliability: it is a seiko with 4R36 mvmt (NH35), enough said. I've used this one for over a year without issues before writing this review. Plan to keep it for decades and pass down one day ... show more

  • Very nice Green dial-not Gaudi in the least. Keeping great time. A nice looking Sport Watch. Very nice Green dial-not Gaudi in the least. Keeping great time. A nice looking Sport Watch.
Size: STD - Rotating Bezel Color: Silver - SRPD63
Smitten at first glance, but did my due diligence before ordering. Very nice Watch. I paid a touch over $200 for this very nice Sport Watch, new. No, this is not a "Dive Watch" but they still sell the SKX line. This has kept great time, gaining three or four seconds a day. It would be great if this watch only gains a minute or so a month. Update - 5-25-2020 After about a week this watch's accuracy improved to about 2 seconds fast or slow each day. The third week of ownership showed a 3 second gain for the entire week. Folks that is COSC accuracy. Go figure The bezel and index markers are spot on alignment wise. Just the right amount of Gold Tint on the hands and dials, doesn't stand out at first glance. Setting up the day/date was super easy. Noticing the green bezel is a flat matte finish, very thoughtful for glare reduction. The metal bracelet is not great but not nearly as bad as reviewers let on. The micro-adjuster worked well. Dear Seiko Corp : Any watch you make over $200 should have a Sapphire Crystal. Surely this can be accomplished with your buying or manufacturing power. - Update 08-16-2020 Still lovin' the watch. Still keeping great time within a few seconds a week. Still my most worn watch. It's what I wanted, a nice looking, good performing daily wear watch. Still recommended. Update 09-13-2022 Still my most worn watch. Still keeps good time. The "inferior" Hardlex crystal is devoid of blemishes after 2+ years of 3-4 days of wearing each week. Get to wear the Omega Seamaster every now and then ;-) ... show more

This watch nostalgic me a SEIKO 5 I got when I was a teenager. I like the color forest green, sport style, automatic, but it’s quite heavy. Amazon told me it’s made from Japan. However, only the movement part. The watch band from China. I hope Amazon should collect all the accuracy information about the product so customer easy make decision. The box is opened, the band is narrow to fit my wrist. I’ve worn about a week, what else can I do now? 😢 ... show more

  • looks great, works well fopr price point: mine loses only 20 seconds a week.
Size: STD - Rotating Bezel Color: Silver - SRPD63
I have owned and used this watch for nearly a year. I am very happy with its looks and function for its reasonable price of c. 1/4 k$. It keeps time well within my tolerance: in this case only about 20 seconds loss per week, requiring an adjustment only on a weekly basis for my precision tolerance. If yours is much narrower you may need to go up in price point. ... show more

  • Sweet
Size: STD - Rotating Bezel Color: Silver - SRPD63
As many know the SKX was certified for 200m while this is not. I've owned an SKX for years and the closest it's gotten to water is the sink or a pool. I always desired to mod one but never went further than the band. Another critique is that has Hardlex and not a Sapphire. I have watches with both and I've never had an issue so I feel this is a bit overblown as a criticism. Nobody can tell you don't have a Sapphire dial and if you did would you even use it in that situation where you though it may scratch? Further, if you mod an SKX that dive certification is lost and it's anyone's guess what happens when you take it into the water. Seiko appears to have been watching that mod scene grow and these new Seiko 5's are basically them cashing in on that. They have released dozens of different color combinations and dropped the water resistance but they look amazing. Chances are you'll be using the second hand hack and winding mechanism more often than diving 200 meters into the ocean. Sure it's faking a dive watch that falls into the category of fashion watch. The clasp is die cast and the bracelet will produce an occasional tin clank you move about. I just replace the bracelets and they then feel like a high end watch. Seiko is the king of mass produced mechanical watches, so much so that they sneak these movements into higher end watches. Everything that I've said is a minor criticism for a 200 dollar automatic time piece that sells at the same price you'll find a plastic and quartz G-Shock. I'll be purchasing luxury watches going forwards as this completes my budget collection, but I'll continue to wear these as they are exceptional watches. My luxury watches typically make an appearance on special occasions. ... show more

  • Fantastic sport watches unless you need more than 100m WR Fantastic sport watches unless you need more than 100m WR
Size: STD - Rotating Bezel Color: Silver - SRPD63
Terrific watch. Not just terrific based on the price. This watch is solid, looks great and is keeping near perfect time. I don't even mind that it does not have a screw-down crown. 100m of WR is just fine for me. I have the black & silver model and this green one with gold accents on the dial. The bezel action is very nice and the triangle lines up perfectly at the 12 o'clock marker. The bracelet would be considered cheap because the clasp is just pressed steel and the links are folded but does not feel cheap at all. It's a great fitting bracelet and not noisy at all. I highly recommend these Seiko watches. I like these more than the Seiko SKX. Unless you need more than 100m WR, these make fantastic sport watches. ... show more

  • Nice looking watch
Size: STD - Rotating Bezel Color: Silver - SRPD63
I like the looks of this watch. It stood out for me. I received the watch a few days ago (fast shipping) and this is my first time wearing it. I had to take it to a watch shop to remove a link from the band and now it fits great. The case is big so it is easy to read. I can also see the day and date which is usually too small to see on other watches. The watch is comfortable. I would recommend the Seiko 5 Sports watch line to any man wanting a sharp-looking but affordable automatic watch. I've had it for a little while and like it but it is off by a minute or two quite often. I wind it almost every day so it won't stop but for some reason, it is off. I've read that automatic watches don't keep as good time as quartz watches. My next watch will be a quartz dress watch to complement this one. ... show more
