Stopped charging after 3 uses. We purchased this for my daughter as a Christmas gift. Since winter time isn’t the time to use it due to weather conditions in our region. She didn’t use it until the end of February. She went to ride it to travel to the bus stop in the morning and I noticed the charge was low. No big deal, so I plugged it in and went to work. Upon returning I found the indicator for charging was still yellow which was odd as it had been plugged in for 8 hours or so. I checked the connections and electrical outlet, everything was working on that end. So I tried again. Unplugging it, waited, plugging it back in to charge. This time when I came back to check, the charging indicator was pink/red. So it had lost charge while being charged. Ok fine I’ll contact Segway support. I contacted them and haven’t heard back yet. However it looks like they want you to ship the unit to them for repairs. What a massive inconvenience seeing as my daughter has used it 3 times and has only successfully charged the unit once. Which was the initial charge per the manufacturers setup guide. We purchased the Segway because it’s a good, reputable brand. This is certainly not up to their standards or reputation. I’m hoping this can be solved with a new unit or a refund. I’ll post the results here once I know more. ... show more

My boys 10 and seven absolutely love these scooters, they don’t break. They’re very reliable. They go very far and they don’t go past 13 mph.
