I like everything about the light - the controller died on my due to weather elements. I ordered a new boxed light thinking I would only use the controller from the new light for my existing light - saving myself having to install a new light strip (it was tough install due to cement/outdoor). Much to my surprise, the controller on the update light has a different connector - it expects a female connector from the light instead of male connector with pins that my old light has. Anyone has schema for how the lights are wired so I can use the connector from new light and splice into my existing light - so it will fit the new controller?

They're sooo pretty, and it is really a stripe, you can't tell were each individual light is as it happens with others. I cut mine a couple cm shorter following the cut lines and got no issues. The remote works perfectly, haven't downloaded the app since the remote gives full control

It doesn't matter how cool the lights are, or how many functions they have if you can't mount them. I tried to simply mount them around the inside of a bedroom window and the lights didn't fit inside the brackets given and kept falling out. I tried to duct tape them to the brackets until the weight simply pulled several brackets right out of the window sill altogether. Finally I just pulled the whole thing out. GARBAGE product from China, big surprise...

When I found out the light portion of this was waterproof and designed for outdoor use, I got a set. Here's what I found. 1. They are EXTREMELY flexible. If you look closely at the picture, I connected them to a holiday sign that says "Merry Fitness." I then used silver HVAC tape to cover the sections that joined the letters, so each letter stood out at night. 2. I did NOT attach them with tape. Let's face it, most tape isn't sticky enough and doesn't last. They come with clips that can be SCREWED onto a surface, and the neon strips are placed in those. So our sign has a thin piece of wood behind it, and the clips are screwed in. That holds them GREAT. 3. The clips and screws that come with it are acceptable, but a package of 200 sold separately has slightly stronger screws and clips. I used about 100 for the lettering you see in the picture. The name for the other clips is "200PCS Led Neon Flex Mounting Clips,Led Strip Light Install Fittings Clips, Fixing Clips Accessories Silicone LED Neon Strip Lighting, Make The Neon Signs 6 x 12 mm(200 Screws,200 Clips)". 4. I covered and sealed the connector AND the power supply into waterproof containers. The instructions say those parts aren't waterproof, so we use containers to protect them. Just the lights themselves are exposed to the weather. 5. There is an app to control the light, but it's pretty limited. You can choose from a range of colors or have it switch from a pre-programmed set of 3 or 7 colors. For the lettering, that was fine. However, if you're looking for something that makes chasing patterns or other exciting things, this is not the light for you. It just goes from one solid color to the next. 6. You can also see where we used them to outline the snowflakes on either side of the sign. This easter, we will use those ovals and put illuminated Easter Eggs in them. I look forward to future versions that have things like chasing candy canes or moving rainbows!

I bought these to light up a display case and they work well but they just aren't that bright. They would probably be better for just accent lights

The media could not be loaded. I’ve purchased 6 of the Segrass brand lights now and absolutely love them! The customer service this company has is exceptional as well. I unfortunately had one of the control boxes go out on me, so I ordered another set to get a new control box. Turns out, (and I saw another review about this), they’ve updated their control box to a 10mm 4 pin male (on the lights) female on the box - instead of the female 8mm 4 pin on the lights and male on the box. So, I wrote a message to Segrass about this asking if there was any chance they could send me a new set with the control box I needed. They responded within an hour, and told me they would be sending me a whole new set for free! The new lights (with the correct control box) arrived a day earlier than they told me it would as well. I really appreciate the effort they went to to get me what I needed, and at no extra cost to me! If you ever have an issue, just reach out to them, they are eager to satisfy their customers!

Bought 1st string ($28) in August of 2023 and just bought and installed 2nd string ($12) October 2024. There are a lot more choices now and they're cheaper now. Great way to add light in dark places without batteries or an electrician. Colorful too. FYI, one loop under the cabinet on left, and two loops under cabinet on right. Color set to purple, NOT white. Screws are bigger than with first string, but smaller ones were fine for plasterboard. In wood, needed to use a nail set to start the screws (not enough room to drill pilot hole). Screws are tight enough in bracket to enable turning bracket to screw them in. Disappointed that the connectors had changed and couldn't add to previous string. The old control is identical to the new one, so having two independent strings is fine since I had an outlet available at each location. (The 16.4 ft length went faster than expected when looping under cabinet.)

These are the coolest lights we have in our house! You can create any shape you want and then program different colors and effects! We enjoy it as a backdrop behind our guitars and also really like the way you can change it after you put it up! I bought these again to ad some decoration to other rooms in the house!
