Was using 3x this PSU to power a mining rig with 13 30-series GPUs running, worked great, regulated the power well. During some troubleshooting (had an issue with something not related to the PSUs that is now solved) we had a sudden power surge. These bad boy 1250W PSUs did their job - they ate the power surge and protected the significantly more valuable components. One of the PSUs gave a loud pop and died, the other two silently died. Normally not something you'd want to happen, but in this case the death of the PSUs literally saved 10,000+ dollars in equipment. Segotep's customer service was great to work with - offered an RMA (they have a great warranty on their PSUs) which included return shipping.     • Seems like it wasn't rated for the wattage specified.
I can't recommend this PSU. Was using it for mining (pushing about 1000 watts, well under it's max rated power), and eventually and consistently it would start just cutting off. I went with other PSUs in the GPU miners, and no problems. I then tried the PSU in a normal PC, at most 600-700 W, and the same thing. Would power on, run for about 10 seconds, then just cut off. Same thing with different motherboards and setups. Maybe it would be great off the bat in a gaming PC, but I don't trust that it can handle the load it's rated for. Based on the price, you can get more reliable brands. Save your money. ... show more

The PSU never worked from the start. It suddenly stops for no reason at all. A five-year warranty is no good if you can't contact the seller or manufactory to uphold it.

Purchased several. Had one burn out when I pushed it over max too long. (Faulty wattage reader) But ran for months fine still at or over max. Warranty gave me free replacement even after my bad psu was lost in shipment to them. They sell extra cables too just email them.
