I haven't stick welded in 45 years, and had the hang of it after a single stick. Stronger than advertised. Says good for up to 1/8", so started on high and melted right through. Found that using a setting of 1.5 (of 4). Unit ran cool. Very simple. Only needs a longer power cord. Cordless is only 3 or 4 ft long, so you need a short 15 amp extension.

Style: Welder with Welding Goggles
I have 5 seconds of welding experience. I’m trying to learn because I’m rebuilding a truck. Couple of things to note, this is slightly more difficult to do until you get used to the set up. I can’t talk about the specs. But it works as expected. My boyfriend is teaching me and while there’s a learning curve here, I feel confident using this on my own. The kit is complete, although the glasses are not great. They work but they leave a lot of gaps around your eyes so it shrinks my confidence in the effectiveness of them. I prefer a full hood. The welder is shockingly lightweight too. It does the job. To me it’s worth the money, especially if you only need it for one off projects. Solid investment.

I picked up this Seesii handheld welder after my old unit finally gave out while I was repairing a rusted section on my trailer gate, and I was immediately surprised by how capable this little machine is even though it only weighs a few pounds. The compact design made it easy to climb onto the trailer and work comfortably with one hand, something I could never do with my bulky traditional welder, and the adjustable 20 to 120 amp output gave me the flexibility to match the heat perfectly for the thin and thick sections I was working on. The IGBT inverter technology really shows because the arc starts smoothly with far less spatter than I am used to, and the welding itself feels stable and consistent which made my beads cleaner without having to fight the machine. Swapping between different rod sizes with the quick change system was incredibly helpful since I used both 6011 and 7018 rods during the project and the welder handled each without hesitation. The built in cooling system kept the unit from getting too hot even during longer stretches, and the overheat protection gave me peace of mind while working outside in the sun. I have seen these little handheld stick welders advertised but was a bit skeptical of them. This one actually works pretty well, especially if you just need it for occasional light-duty use. It provides an output of 20 - 120 amps and runs off a standard 3 prong 120 VAC plug. it is self-contained and is a really good bargain. It appears well-built and includes a semi-rigid case with room for everything. It includes a few accessories, including a small bundle of rods. It comes with a full-size chipping hammer, which is rare when you buy any kind of compact welder. You also get a pair of welding goggles that are solar powered and adjust automatically when you strike an arc. I wear eyeglasses so these won't work well for me. And I do like a little more facial protection than this provides. My face is not pretty but it is the only one I have, so I'll wear a full hood when using this welding machine. But if someone were just watching a weld and was not up where the sparks are this would be helpful. Operation is simple. There is a knob in which you select your amperage. You place your ground clamp, place a rod in place, and using the trigger button, proceed to weld. It is an excellent value for the occasional or hobby welder.
