These are excellent! I’m in Zone 8b in Mississippi and I started my seedlings for tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos on January 03,2026. They sprouted in a few days. Out of all the seedling starters I used this year (I’m learning to start my seeds so I tried a few different kinds of trays and lights) this seemed to work best. The seedlings’ soil stayed moist longer than the others I used and the tiny little sprouts were stronger when I repotted. The only issues I have are the covers with the lights. It was super simple to set up but since all the lights are stuck together, if you move one tray it knocks all the others off. I was also hoping to use the lights longer than just when the cover needed to be on but without some creative thinking, there’s no way. So if you buy these nice starting trays I suggest keeping the little sprouts under the cover light as long as you can but make sure you have other lighting or a plan to get your plants outside once they’re strong enough to not have a cover.
