The pillows are attached to the base so no sliding. Looks great. It’s firm. No sinking. It’s comfortable when you put your feet on the ottoman, or sit in a chase but just sitting up right might be a little uncomfortable, because the seat portion is on the smaller side. ______________ Update: the material the couch is made of is a little thin and tends to tear at the seam. This is small, very firm and not a great family couch. It is good for staging or small apartment spaces. It looks pretty, but not an ideal lounging couch.     • Hard uncomfortable sofa and unpleasant service

This sofa may look nice but it is very uncomfortable. It is more then firm it is very hard. It is very low and narrow. When I received the item it came in two boxes that were obviously damaged from mishandling. While assembling the sofa, I started noticing the narrowness and how low it was to the floor. When I sat on the sofa I was immediately disappointed with the purchase. I disassembled the sofa and was unable to placed it back into the original boxes it arrived in because they were already damaged. I reached out to Amazon and was told that the seller can provide packaging, a return label, and schedule a pick up. I reached out to the seller, they have been giving me the run around for over a month. They stated that they can’t provide packaging, and once I am able to find a box then they will provide the labels and schedule the pick up. This was after they tried to refuse the return and offer me 40% of what I’ve paid if I would just keep the sofa. I declined the offer. I was finally able to find two boxes. I reached back out to the seller but now they are insisting that I use 3 boxes. The sofa came in two boxes.
