My 16 pound cat went right into the carrier. It will provide adequate room for Vet visits. I am disappointed that the pad insert isn't as stable as I thought it would be given the weight this carrier states is supported. I also thought that the pad would be a thicker fabric for comfort. We have a fat, 11lb tabby cat. The small carriers are too small for her and the others are too big usually. This one is just right, Goldilocks! She loves to be able to look out through the mesh. Love the top open option. Love!

When I first ordered this, I gave a mediocre review because it did not come with the food dish in the bottom was flimsy. I contacted the seller and the seller was absolutely amazing!! Not only did they immediately contact me and stayed in constant communication, they also sent me a new bottom piece for it that was sturdier and better and a cushion pillow for the inside. And a couple other goodies I highly recommend them please order from them because they are very very good at communication and rectifying any issues.
