I don't have hair extensions, but i do like a shampoo that cleans well, and feels good to my hair. I also switch off between 2-3 shampoos on a regular basis, depending on what type of cleaning and "attention" my hair may need. About my hair: -Medium blonde (a little bit of silver graying at my temples) -Length is long, between middle of back and my waist -Occasionally use "sun-in" hair lightener to brighten my natural color -Several Teal color "shampoo-dye" streaks in underlayers -I don't use a hair dryer(haven't for over 20 yrs), curling iron, flat iron etc. -Average amount of oiliness if time to wash or dry towards the ends if time to condition. I thought it would be nice to add a Clarifying shampoo to my "regulars", especially for the summer when I sweat more and hair tends to get oily a little faster. Washing: This shampoo smells nice, has a light lather. I do understand that lather isn't an indication of a good or bad shampoo but to me, it kind of helps to know if I'm using enough shampoo to clean my hair. I was able to get some lather mainly for my scalp, and then distribute it to the ends, with using about 4-5 pumps of shampoo. Rinsing: -Rinsed out easily and Thoroughly. -Felt a little of the "squeaky-clean" feeling, when oils and build-up are washed out, but not as bad as another "clarifying" shampoo I've tried. -I didn't use a wash-in/out conditioner, or any spray-in conditioner/detangler, so I could get full feeling of "clean" from the shampoo alone -I wrapped my hair in a towel for a little bit to dry it more before trying to brush out, since it felt a little "sticky-clean". It brushed out nicely. Texture was soft. This is a good cleaning shampoo. So good, that I will probably only use it once a month or so in my rotation of my "regulars". (Also, my hair wouldn't usually require that much). Using it more, I would feel the need to use a conditioner, which would feel like it was defeating the purpose of a good cleaning shampoo. Plus, this shampoo is a bit on the pricey side (for me) so I will treat it like gold and use it sparingly, when needed.

This shampoo is a bit pricey but a really solid product. It smells nice and really does help clean out the buildup of hair product, and dandruff. I like the quality of the ingredients as well. I live in an all-girls but me household so we use a lot of shampoo and conditioner. We were all happy with this shampoo. Everyone felt clean and shiny afterward. We don't use it every time, but it's been good to use once a week or so to really get a deep clean without stripping the hair.

My wife has naturally wavy/curly hair and she uses a lot of product in her hair to maintain her daily styles. All of that product can weigh down hair over time and to get it out - a good clarifying shampoo will do the job. My wife is always looking for new products and when i saw this - I got it for her. So far - she has a few complaints. She has said several times after using it that her hair feels much more dry than with her other clarifying products - now obviously clarifying products also strip hair of its natural oils as well as any product that has gathered but she says that even her other super strong clarifying product doesn’t dry out her hair as much as this one. She has oily hair too so to dry it out that much is not good. Also, it doesn’t suds up very well so it’s hard to evenly distribute throughout her hair as she is washing. Overall - not a product we would buy again.

I’m not too picky on shampoo and conditioners, but I do have a few things I look for. First of all, I want the shampoo to smell good and clean and fresh. I get migraines, so this is a difficult line to follow. It cannot be flowery or perfumed just fresh. This shampoo has a wonderful clean scent. The second thing I look for is that the shampoo makes a good amount of foam as this seems to be an indicator that it is doing a good job cleaning. The shampoo forms up great and leaves my hair feeling very cleansed. It actually works so well that I started using it on my dog as well because he has very high allergies and he is very reactive very well. I suggest this for anyone who wants a great cleansing shampoo without any irritation to your scalp.

This is the Mermaid Extension Hair Care Seatox | Oil & Sulfate Free Deep Cleansing Clarifying Shampoo. This bottle comes is an 8oz size bottle (236ml) which is kind of small for the price. However, I have tried the conditioner and loved it- so I thought I would give this a try. It has a very light coconut smell which I wish it was a little stronger. It’s a clear clarifying shampoo and it suds up really well, you don’t need to use a lot. I don’t have hair extensions, but it does work nicely on my natural hair. Whether you have extensions or not, this is worth giving a try if you can justify the price. However, I would definitely try this smaller size before purchasing the bigger bottle.
