I bought this because I have problems with hip pain on long car trips, whether driving or just as a passenger. Using this cushion makes that much more comfortable, -I can now sit in the car for long periods without appreciable discomfort. Very nicely made. It comes rolled up in a vacuum bag inside a tube, in a box that looks as though it can't possibly hold it. But once you break the seal on the vacuum bag it instantly expands to full size. Great quality workmanship, and the cover material is very nice, with little grippy dots on the bottom so the cushion doesn't slide around. The cover can be removed for cleaning. And it even has a carrying handle! And to top it all off the manufacturer emailed me a PDF of the instructions even though a printed version comes in the box. I purchased this because I have been battling a sciatic nerve pinch for a few weeks and I could barely sit without getting a huge shock of pain up my left leg and hip. I thought this would help give me support which at first it did but then whenever I got up my leg would hurt more than when I first used it. I returned it, I wish it had worked for my issue. I am sure it will work for someone else with a different ailment. It is constructed very well which makes me even more sad that it did not work for me. ... show more

I’ve only had this for a few days, and they say it can take up to 3 weeks for it to conform to your body, but so far so good. I got it for work because I sit a lot and have horrible hips and pain in my hip flexors all the time. I’m hoping it will ease some of the tension sitting puts on your hips. There’s a lot of negative reviews, and I think those people aren’t using it correctly. Its perfect for any chair, you just have to position it correctly which can take some adjusting. You don’t want it all the way back against the back of your chair, your sit bones should be on the “U” portion of it with your butt hanging slightly “off” it. If it slides when you get up, you’ll probably have to readjust when you sit back down. Right away it makes you sit more upright correcting your posture, but still moves with you if you like to rock back in your chair like I do. Make sure you have an adjustable chair as this could raise you up a little and you want to make sure your feet sit on the floor. I can’t wait to keep using this and see if it helps my hips. At the very least, it makes your chair more comfortable while relieving from stress on your muscles and joints even if it doesn’t help my hip problem. ... show more

It's soft & firm enough, but is pretty small. It's thick and difficult to lift yourself up to get onto it as you can't slide onto it. Bottom line I guess my butt's too big for it. lol I bought 2, 1 for my daughter and will see if she likes it but will be sending 1 back for sure.
