Excellent reel. I waited to get it on the water before doing a review, and this reel casts super far and super smooth. I run 20lb suffix 832 on mine and it’s like butter coming off this reel. I set the brakes in between 5 and 6 and had no issues with backlash. I feel like I could have set it between 4 and 5 but I like to thumb my baitcasters and you’re not really supposed to thumb a dc reel. This thing performed like a champ. I’m genuinely impressed because I thought I was taking a chance on junk. It has plenty enough drag to get em in as well. Was able to land a 2-5-3 pounder with no issues at all. It also has little lights on the side that light up when you cast it. I wasn’t expecting that and I didn’t like it at all at first cause I thought it made it look toyish but you don’t see it when casting so it’s irrelevant. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this reel, it’s a much cheaper option to a dc curado and it’s almost just as smooth. If I had to put a number on it, I’d say the curado is a 10 on smoothness and this seasir is a 8.7-9. I have this DC reel, the Megacuda, and the Salminus and they are all silky smooth casting wise.

This is my first DC and ill tell you this gets down. I was casting on a 7ft medium 1/4-3/4 rod slinging 20 lb 8x reaction tackle braid. I was able to cast 1/8 ounce spoons up to 20 - 30ft with a breeze COMING TO ME with NO BACKLASH. It is a light reel, i worked lures for some speckled trout for about 6 hours with little fatigue. I was slinging dimes all night, the breaks work funny, 100% recommend to keep your brakes above 0 do not and I repeat do not go about turning them all the way down. The reel WILL take off on you and the backlash is not pretty, by the grace of god alone was i able to undo it. Drag clicking is the peak of fishing stims so for a bait caster having a smooth clicker is the best thing ever. The videos make the noise way louder than what it is BUT loud nonetheless. Drag held down great, reel casted smooth, and i caught fish and it didnt break. For half of the price of any name brand to get similar features is hard to beat. 10/10 would purchase again

I still find it hard to believe that a reel this good exists in this price point. It is buttery smooth, the thumb bar engagement is rock solid with a positive click and engages each and every time (unlike other cheap garbage, cough cough* Kast King and Piscifun cough cough*). The DC system works very well and it absolute launches baits a country mile. The only downside (which is personal preference) are the flashing lights on the side plate. That just seems a little gimmicky and doesn't seem necessary to me. But that doesn't affect the performance at all and I will be buying more!

So far so good used a handful of times and even woth it backlashing before being dialed in they where so minor and easy to pick out as long as you arnt throwing the bait way too hard it works and makes me want a much nicer dc to see how it stacks up. Although I do have to thumb the spool about as much as a standard reel but changing baits I dont have to touch spool tension or the brakes at all which is what I wanted the clicking drag is very nice and over all the reel is smooth and sings beautifully worth the cheap price if your jsut trying out a dc and arnt sure if you'll like them thats why I got it and im not disappointed

This reel is a great first DC for the price. Iv caught a good amount of fish over 10 lbs with no problems. Iv got it covered in mud, covered in sand, and covered in dirt. And accidentally stepped on it with mud boots. Still 0 problems and still using it everyday.

DC function at a fraction. I’d highly recommend cranking to 10 and snugging up the reel to start, and also smooth casting shorter distance until you get used to how far it will sail with this tech. Let the reel “learn” a bit before backing off and going for max distance. Personally, mine has stayed on 10 as it casts further than anything else I’ve as is, and I have no worries about backlash. Durability will tell with time but for now it is all I hoped for and exceeded my expectations.

Ok, you cannot compare this reel to a $200 SLX DC. That said, this is an impressive reel for the price point. Unlike the cheap Temu “DC” reels that are usually just poorly lubricated gimmicks, this is a true DC reel. It feels good in the hand and, once dialed in, offers effortless casting with excellent distance. Update: I’ve since filed for a return after discovering that the frame (or at least parts of it) are plastic. There was a hairline crack near the front that caused one corner to rattle. I’m getting a refund and ordering a replacement to give it a fair second chance. We’ll see if it holds up and proves worth it long-term.
