Purchased this blanket for my wife this past Christmas, and every day she says how much she loves it. I will say: it is a super soft blanket, and it can get very toasty if you want it too! It's very well made, and has held up with daily use so far. We purchased a Sunbeam brand blanket that lasted maybe 2 weeks before going out. This one has been used several hours each evening for 3 months, and it's doing good! It has a temperature control where you can select how warm you want it, and it has a auto-off timer as well. It is a good size as well. I am 5' 10", and it stretches from my feet to my upper chest easily. As with any heated blanket, you do have to plug it in, and that can be a bit annoying having it tethered to an outlet...but that comes with the territory. I hit the power button and it was set to three. I expected to be like a heating pad. Too hot in a few areas. Instead it is soft and warm and snuggly. The very next day I ordered myself the same blanket and intend to buy a couple others for around the house. The controls are simple to use. The warmth is perfect without being overwhelming. I purchased the SEALY Electric Blanket Queen Size, Flannel & Sherpa Heated Blanket for use on my California King bed. I wanted an electric blanket that was light weight, and did NOT hang over the edge of the mattress to the floor. And I'm pleased to note this product works perfect for my California King bed. The two sets (left and right) of heading wires cover my sleeping area perfectly with a slight over hang of the edges of the mattress. Excellent. The square shaped CONTROLLER is simple and easy to use. When the blanket is turned on it goes into a period of warm-up then reverts automatically to the preset temp. The preset temp, and hours on selection, remain in place when shut off. And it automatically shuts off after 8 hours (where I have it set to do). I did take the liberty of washing the blanket to get rid of the "new smell." The blanket is light enough that it doesn't overwhelm a washing machine! There are clear instructions on washing the blanket, on a sewed on label. I gently dried it on low heat of a period of time, then laid it out on another bed for 2 days to make sure it was 100% dry. Finally, I do like the super thin heating wire, which is sewed securely into paths in the fabric. This is a super nice heating blanket that I'm glad I bought. ... show more
