The size is adequate for our split king bed. That lies flat and doesn’t slip around, but we were having a problem of it sliding “up”…. Towards the top of the bed. Because of it being Electric, we can’t tuck it in underneath the mattress, so we let the excess hang off the bottom. Every time we snuggle in the kind of bunches up towards the top and we have to keep readjusting the bottom. We came up with a solution: we have some of those (what I call sheet “suspenders”). Each one is about 6 inches long and stretches to about nine or 10 inches long with a clip of each end. You can get them here on Amazon. They are made so that up near the corners of your sheets you clip them up at the angle so that a bunch of tighter the corners. I used it where I took and wrapped one and around the bed frame, and then took the other end and clipped it to the very bottom of the electric blanket (where there are no electrical cords). So far it’s working well! It keeps the blanket down at the foot of the bed down where it’s supposed to be. We do like the controller head. It comes with two of them one for each side, and you can raise or lower the temperature from 1 to 10, as well as the duration of time that the heat is on, up to 12 hours before it shuts itself off automatically. This way you can set it for level 5 for 5 hours or whatever combination you like AND your partner on the other side can control their exactly the way they like! Sweet! When you turn it on you press the button add a blue light comes on and shows you the setting. After an adequate number of minutes, it goes off for economics as well as not bothering you while you’re sleeping. You touch the button again and the light comes on so you can verify your settings then it will go off after an interval. The blanketmaterial is soft and light. They heat it generates is great! And it’s very responsive. I do wish that the blanket material were a little thicker, but as it is, it’s very very adequate for the job.

This blanket makes a difference in my quality of life. I use it to preheat my bed in the winter so I fall asleep sooner. No more shivering for an hour waiting for the bed to warm up. Nice soft blanket. Good heat control. 1-12 hour timer. Intuitive controls. Push one button when you plan on getting into bed. Controller does not make buzzing noise in radio when on. Recommended.

Getting use to the differences between our old blanket and the new one but they are minor. The only thing I don't like is the way the cord is attached to the blanket. It is right at the corner of the blanket and will not stay under the bed. Makes a tripping hazard. Other than that, it is light weight but warm and comfortable.

This blanket heats up and the controller works, but the internal heating system is nowhere near full‑size. The heating elements measure only 34 inches across, which is about 63% of the 54‑inch width of a full mattress. That leaves two unheated zones of roughly 10 inches each on the left and right sides. From an engineering standpoint, this is not a full‑size heating layout at all — it is a twin‑size heating grid sewn into a full‑size 80×84 blanket shell. The result is a narrow heated strip down the center with large cold borders on both sides. If you sleep alone and stay perfectly centered, you might manage. But for couples, this blanket is completely impractical — only one person will be on the heated area, and the other will be lying entirely on cold fabric. The blanket functions, but the heating coverage is dramatically undersized for something marketed as “full size,” and buyers should be aware of the actual heated dimensions before purchasing.

I love my heated blanket. I bought this while I had the flu and it was a game changer. I live in Florida so the chances of me needing a heated blanket are rare, however, I use it daily. It gets warm quickly and I love the timer on it so when I do fall asleep it shuts off. I will say I did buy my kids the burgundy color of the throw-size for Christmas and it is too small for them, they are teens. I will purchase two more of these queen-size blankets for them. I highly recommend this blanket! The only downside is that the queen size only comes in the most boring colors. We need more vibrant colors! Update: My blanket burned out on me. That is not a complaint. However, I bought the full-size because I felt the queen size was way too much blanket for me but the full-size is not the same blanket, it is much lighter and it doesn't get as warm as the queen-size. I will be rebuying the Queen size for sure
