I am normally highly skeptical of aftermarket replacement bulbs, whether halogen or LED, particularly at such a reasonable price point. On past cars I've tried the "high output" halogens, only to be put off by having to replace them every 9 months. So, when my 6-year Toyota Prius Model IV finally burned out one of the factory headlight bulbs I did a fair amount of research before ordering. Forget the Extra/Ultra/Crystal-Vision halogens - the reviews seemed to indicate they still haven't addressed the short life problem. I was really interested in the plug-in H11 LED replacements, but for such a low price I had rock-bottom expectations. In the end I decided to get some "insurance" buy ordering these as well as a pair of OEM Osram long-life halogens at the same time, so that if disliked the LEDs I had a standard-issue bulb on hand. Well, after a few weeks of use, to my amazement the halogens are the ones going back. These work shockingly well. The light is very good, and a pure white (NOT "blue"). Cut-off is right where it should be, the distribution pattern seems very good and even, and I've not had a single oncoming driver flash me at night (in other words, no glare). They are not necessarily brighter than your halogens, but keep in mind light output is regulated by design on headlights so you aren't blinding everyone else on the road. Also, I'm having none of the electrical issues that occasionally come up in these reviews; no flickering, no CANBUS errors, and zero RF interference on any radio / USB / satellite listening. The Prius does have a more robust (than typical) electrical system, so even if that doesn't help it certainly doesn't hurt. Installation was a breeze. If you own a 3rd-gen Prius a lot of YouTube vides will suggest you remove the bumper and headlight housing, but I did both sides in about a half hour without removing anything but the old bulbs. I wear men's size Large in gloves, so I do not have the advantage of kid's hands, and I won't lie that it was tight and required some contortions, but it can be done and wasn't that difficult. I did cut some tape that was bundling multiple wiring harnesses together on the passenger side to get some slack, but otherwise did not remove or loosen anything. Only tools used were a razor blade and some mechanic's gloves. Probably the only complaint I had, which is very minor: halogens are keyed so the connector only goes in one way. The power connection on these was not keyed. Granted that still leaves a 50/50 chance to get it right, but I have bad luck and upon installation connected both sides up backwards first time. They obviously have reverse-polarity protection though because after correcting the power connections both lit up right away. One other caution: these are slightly longer (maybe 1/4") than OEM halogens too, due to the heatsink in back, so depending on how tight your working space is you may have some difficulty. For my Prius the driver's side was a breeze, but the passenger side required a little more finagling due to the coolant overflow tank being directly behind the headlight housing. I lowered the bulb below the tank (not left or right), then angled it up to install. The only thing I cannot comment on is service life. If they come even close to the 50k-hour rating I'll be thrilled, since this will be the last time I'll have to fiddle with the bulbs on this car. EDIT: October, 2021. Well, after less than three years one of the bulbs failed. Based on this I knocked the rating down two stars. I went in and had a look and it appears the one that is dead had an adhesive cover fall off. This cover was over the motor for the fan, and I can only surmise that debris got in and fouled the fan, which caused the LEDs to overheat and fail. The other one (which is still working) has that adhesive cover still in place. So I loved the bulbs and the light, but on fan-cooled models it appears that is a weak point. I re-ordered a newer-generation set of bulbs - all fanless - to see if they work better. My only concern: the selling point of earlier fan-cooled models was smaller size. Fanless ones have a larger heatsink, and being for a Prius I don't yet know if I'll have challenges installing (fitting) the newer one. ... show more

Bright white light and look great on my13 GMC SLE. Only problem was that the pigtails dont seem to snap together to the OEM pigtail, Had to pull one back out and zip tie the connections together. Otherwise, no complaints!

Installed in a 2009 Accord, great upgrade, visibility improved dramatically. Beam very clear but not blinding. Looks like OE HIDs. Bought/installed in December. One went out in August, annoying but parts fail once in a while, even OE. Good news, customer support was painless. Provided purchase details and they had a replacement out super quick. They lasted just 2 years on a car that only gets 2k miles on it a year. Both Died days apart. These are the replacements but identical to the first. should last longer than they did. Get some with A time guarantee.
