Bought these for a projector light (single high/low bulb). For those with a single bulb for both high and low, this will work because the headlight itself has a plunger that actuates to make the beam high or low. This lights are great, but they were very difficult to twist in. The base is made of metal and I believe the issue is it's too thick. It took considerable force to twist them in (and yes, they were aligned properly to the socket holes). Had to remove the dustcaps to make sure the bulbs wouldn't overheat. Not sure what the consequences for that will be in the long run (dirt or water getting into the assembly). All in all, a great upgrade for anyone wanting more powerful headlights. ... show more

I purchased these to replace the Sealight Scoparc lights I tried last week which weren't much brighter than stock halogens. These X4 lamps really make a HUGE difference. About 4x brighter than the Scoparc LEDs and provide a really adequate light on projector lamps in my daughter's Mazda CX-9. They are easy to install, easily adjusted (rotation) with a set screw, and insanely bright. Brighter than the HID lamps on my wife's SUV. I have no idea if these LEDs will last as they are super intense. I've only had them installed since yesterday, but our drive on wet roads was brightly lit. On a dry road, it would be several times brighter scatter off the road. The photo was taken just after a heavy downpour. I can imagine it will be blinding in the snow. Despite that high output, the beam cutoff is sharp and no oncoming drivers flashed their lights at us, so the glare seems not to be a problem. I can't rate for longevity, as they lamps are only a day old so far, but I hope the manufacturer claim is accurate. I deducted one star only because of the high price. I originally ordered the S1 high/low beam set from Sealight and I was happy with that purchase. Then I ordered the S4 high/low beam set for my wife's car and they were brighter than my S1s. Then I found out about the X4 option and I ordered these for my low beams. These bulbs are stupid bright! I get flashed by oncoming drivers thinking my high beams are on. Only having the S1 bulbs for high beams was pretty much pointless because the X4 low beams are so bright that when I turn my high beams on you couldn't see a difference. I just installed the X4 high beams and now oncoming drivers regret flashing their high beams at me and I flash mine back. The ability to see farther and clearer at night has saved me multiple times already by being able to see the deer in the fields in plenty of time to be able to avoid them. I 100% recommend these bulbs especially if you live in a rural area, like I do, where it is very dark and you need to see better. Just be prepared to make other drivers on the road angry. I haven't had these installed long enough to know about longevity. ... show more

These bulbs are extremely bright! I absolutely love how much better I can see at night now. These bulbs have saved me from hitting deer multiple times already. I live in a very rural area and it is very dark. With these lights I can not only see father down the road but also farther to the sides. The only downside, if there is one, is the other drivers on the road do not like how bright these lights are. I have both high and low beam versions of these bulbs installed on my truck. I constantly get flashed by oncoming drivers thinking my high beams are on when they aren't. They instantly regret flashing me when I flash back to show them my high beams are not on. The drivers in front of me have to adjust their mirrors or put their hands over a mirror to block the reflection. I do feel a little bit bad about it but at the same time I can see when I'm driving at night and that is all I'm worried about. Just be prepared to make other drivers angry if you install these bulbs. ... show more

Installed in 2016 Hyundai Sonata. Very nice clean sharp looking white. The base is a little bigger than a halogen 9005 but was able to make it work after a few attempts. They claim 28000 lumens but did not really seem brighter than the 18000 lumen led bulbs from the same company. The fans make a slight hum that you really only notice when the car is turned off. SeaLight builds quality LED’s. This is my 4th set of SeaLight brand LED to install! And my 3rd set of 9005/9006 style. The only thing that could be better is the ability to adjust the bulb orientation in the housing. SeaLight instructions want the diodes to face 3 o’clock and 9:00 o’clock . The Allen wrench they send to adjust it would not loosen the screw. So even though mine are like 8:00 o’clock and 4 O’clock. I can see great. It doesn’t seem to blind on coming traffic. The color is like daylight and definitely not that blue color that everyone hates. SeaLight has a customer service number for questions but only from M-F My 2003 corvette needed this upgrade. My original purchase of SeaLight bulbs from 4-5 years ago have never let me down on my 2006 Silverado Duramax! They are the first generation SeaLight! It is my hunting rig and has been out in some terrible conditions. I can always see better than any one else! Your fog lights are barely scene after this upgrade! Meaning they are not useful. Purchase SeaLight with confidence! I do not get rewarded for my reviews! I believe giving a thumbs up where it is due. I try to be 100% transparent and happy to answer your questions. So far I have installed SeaLight on 2004 Ford Excursion, 2 -2006 Silverado’s , 2003 corvette, 2009 Sierra. But not all of those were the same bulb style .
