  • Crystal Clear Water Achieved with Seachem Purigen!
Size: 100 ml Style: Resin
The media could not be loaded. **Title: Crystal Clear Water Achieved with Seachem Purigen!** I can’t recommend Seachem Indoor Purigen Organic Filtration Resin enough—it truly is the secret to crystal clear water in my 80-gallon turtle aquarium. This product has exceeded all my expectations in maintaining water quality. Purigen works wonders in both freshwater and saltwater tanks. It effectively removes organic impurities, leaving the water exceptionally clear and clean. Despite having turtles, which tend to create a lot of waste, my aquarium’s water remains pristine, thanks to this remarkable filtration resin. The resin is easy to use and regenerates effortlessly, making it a cost-effective solution for long-term use. I’ve noticed a significant reduction in odor and an overall improvement in the health and appearance of my tank inhabitants. If you’re struggling to keep your aquarium water clear, especially with high bio-load tanks, Seachem Purigen is a game-changer. Highly recommend for anyone seeking top-notch water quality! ... show more

  • Great
Size: 500 ml Style: Resin
I'm using this stuff in 2 tanks: a 60ish gallon tank with fairly big fish (pink tail chalceus, leaf fish, pictus catfish, etc) and a 40 gallon bowfront with a large goldfish and some minnows. Purigen seems to work exceptionally well for keeping your fish healthy and water clean & clear. Despite minimal maintenance on the tanks, everyone who come to the house remarks how pristine the water is. I still battle high nitrates because of the tap water we have, but using this, Seachem matrix, and plopping some pothos plants into the tank seems to help a lot. I use significantly less activated charcoal now (and also have to pull my cannister filters apart much less which is nice) and believe this will save quite a lot of money in the long run compared with just using activated charcoal. My only gripe is that it's hard to find mesh bags that this stuff works in. Most of the bags I've looked at have too big of holes and this stuff just leaks out over time. I've settled on "Geiserailie 150 nm filter media bags", which work well and are reasonably priced (as of 1/29/24 it's $12.99 for 15 bags). I haven't tried to "recharge" my purigen yet, but next filter maintenance I'm pretty sure I'll need to swap it out for a new bag and recharge what I've been using. I've read the bags may break down in the bleach solution, but at least than $1/bag that's not a big deal if it does happen. If you have a small-ish setup, I'd recommend just buying the pre-bagged purigen they offer. If you need a lot or for multiple tanks, this is a better option. Purigen will definitely stay in my filters moving forward. ... show more

  • GREEN WATER GONE!!
Size: 100 ml Style: Resin
Our fish tank is in a room with many windows. Although it rarely gets direct light, the algae is out of control in the tank. Within 3 days of a water change, the tank water is green, the walls are green, and it looks like a murky mess. I upgraded my filter to the aqua clear 30, and with their filter media I saw zero difference. Many people said to remove the carbon filter in the filtration basket and add purigen. I wasn’t sure how big the purigen pouch would be so i ordered mesh bags which were not needed at all. The purigen pouch fit perfectly in my aqua clear 30 filter basket after I removed the carbon. Within 2 days my water went from green to CRYSTAL CLEAR! Days later the water looks great! I will still have to do algae maintenance on the glass, but I’m in awe how the water is perfect now! I also like how you can reuse the purigen by cleaning it with bleach. ... show more

  • You can discard a lot of clutter and have balanced and crystal clear water
Size: 100 ml Style: Resin
An absolute marvel in aquarium keeping. As an addition to my mechanical and biological filtration, I've "loaded up" on purigen in my canister filters and the results are stunning! No more specialized media and no more chasing water parameters. HOORAY!!!
