Features

  • MINERALS: Equilibrium is specifically designed to establish the optimal mineral content for the planted aquarium. When this mixture is added to the aquarium it will impart a slight haze that should clear within 1530 minutes.
  • EQUILIBRIUM: Does not contain sodium or chloride (which can be detrimental to a planted aquarium at elevated levels).
  • SUITED FOR: Equilibrium is preferably suited for use with RO (reverse osmosis) and DI (deionized) water or any mineral deficient water.
  • BALANCE: Equilibrium raises the essential mineral/electrolyte content (General Hardness) of the water to balance with and promote stability of the carbonate hardness.
  • DIRECTIONS: To raise mineral content/general hardness (GH) by 1 meq/L (3 dH), add 16 g (1 tablespoon) for every 80 L (20 US gallons) when setting up an aquarium or when making water changes (add to new water). It is normal for this product not to dissolve right away and it will not harm the tank. It will dissolve over the course of about 12 hours.

  • Solid Boost for Plant Growth
Seachem Equilibrium has been super solid for my tank. It brings my GH up fast and my plants always look happier a day or two after I use it. It mixes pretty well and a little goes a long way.

  • Does the job
As advertised. There are cheaper options for adding water hardness, but this stuff works well and is both convenient and easy to dose. Will likely cloud water for a bit but it clears up fairly quickly.

  • Good for shrimp!
Our water is a little on the soft side, and we love our shrimpies, so we use this product to maintain a comfortable hardness level for them in developing their exoskeletons. It's easy to use, not messy, and works on its own when used as directed, so there's no need to keep adding a little more. We drop it into some dechlorinated, treated water during routine water changes so it can dissolve before hitting the aquarium. It has made our lives easier and our shrimp are strong and healthy! ... show more

  • Really like it
The media could not be loaded. Seachem Equilibrium is a must-have for anyone using RO or distilled water in a planted tank. I use RO water for my nano setup, and without remineralizing, my GH drops too low, which causes issues with plant growth and snails health. Equilibrium solves that perfectly. It’s easy to dose, mixes well, and provides essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium all critical for healthy plant growth and osmoregulation in fish and inverts. I’ve noticed a big improvement in leaf color, strength, and overall plant vitality since I started using it. It doesn’t affect KH, so if you’re targeting soft, acidic conditions but still want stable GH, this is perfect. I like to pair it with Seachem’s alkaline buffer. Highly recommend it for planted tanks, especially if you’re using RO/DI water or dealing with soft tap water. It’s a game changer for maintaining a healthy aquatic environment. ... show more

Ok

  • better done a little at a time
According to the instructions, it said that 1 tablespoon was enough to raise from 5dGH to 8dGH in a 20 gallon tank. I raised it a little at a time, spread out over days so as not to disrupt the fish/snails/plants too quickly, and I got to the goal in only 1.5 teaspoons, which is half of the recommended dose. Maybe the substrate and elements in the tank displaced half the water. But I recommend others to go slow also. It did make the water a little cloudy, but it cleared up in about 20min to an hour. I feel like the snails struggled with the change, hiding for about a day after each time I added some of this stuff, so another reason to go slow with it. ... show more

  • Super mega recomendable
If you want to increase the general hardness of your aquarium without a doubt this product is a wonder, with only its first use the change immediately. It's really worth it
