Description

The V7 is built to perform - and built to last. Reliable, rugged & roadworthy meets lush, vibrant & musical. Connect with your audience in a whole new way. For many years, we've had live sound engineers utilizing our studio microphones and Reflexion Filters on stages all over the world with acts like Linkin Park, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Black Sabbath, Billy Idol, Paramore, My Morning Jacket, and many, many more. With vast knowledge gained through working with countless engineers and bands, we have finally entered into the world of dynamic mics with the V Series - built to withstand rigorous touring schedules, while still performing better than anything else in their class. Now, the V7 (both wired and wireless versions) have already been seen on stage with artists ranging from Justin Timberlake to Common, Andra Day to the Fleet Foxes, Flogging Molly to Kenny Chesney and more. This is the new standard. "I PREFER the sE V7 microphone vs. the industry benchmark dynamic vocal microphone." - Ken "Pooch" Van Druten, FOH Engineer (Linkin Park, Justin Bieber) Read more ALL-METAL HOUSING & BEVELED SPRING STEEL GRILLE The V7's road-ready design is all metal - no plastic parts here. The chassis' high quality, highly durable zinc alloy is designed to hold up under on-stage stress for years, and the spring steel mesh grille is dent-proof and corrosion-free for perfect reliability. Also, see that beveled edge around the grille? That prevents your mic from rolling around when you put it down on top of your amp or the stage floor. (It's the little things that count.) The V7's gold-plated XLR connector also ensures a loss-free and reliable signal connection for years to come. INNOVATIVE, SPECIALIZED ALUMINUM VOICE COIL The DMC7 dynamic element in the V7 has been custom-developed for a crisp, open sound that perfectly captures your voice in the most natural way you've ever heard on stage - and its sophisticated supercardioid capsule design helps isolate your voice from other instruments, ensuring vast amounts of gain before feedback. Proven Neodymium magnets, tight production tolerances & high- end workmanship ensure excellent sensitivity, superior sound quality and superb consistency. PATENTED INTEGRATED SHOCK MOUNT AND INTERNAL WINDSCREEN The V7's brand new, patented shockmount efficiently decouples the capsule from mechanical vibration, providing exceptionally low handling noise as compared to other mics in its class. This means you can feel free to move around on stage without fear of rumbles, pops, or anything other than your voice coming through. The internal windscreen efficiently reduces unwanted wind noise and plosive pops....and just in case you don't like our stylish "sE Red" color, we've included a spare black windscreen in the box for you. MADE FOR THE STAGE The V7 was designed for heavy touring use, with a rugged metal body and grille, anti-rolling bevel, a supercardioid polar pattern for massive gain before feedback, and its custom internal suspension for superbly low handling noise. GREAT IN THE STUDIO ...but that doesn't mean the V7 isn't at home in the studio either. The tight polar pattern makes it ideal for live-in-studio vocal recording, as it provides excellent rejection of other sound sources around it. • Best $99 Mic Ever
Color: V7 - Gray
This is an awesome vocal mic. I primarily use it for live sound. I've stopped using 58s for vocals and use this instead. It's a dynamic mic with a condenser feel. Not as bright as a condensor and certainly not as easy to feedback. Compared to a 58 the EQs are much more flat and for vocals it's more natural and musical sounding than anything in it's class. Really, I'd pay $200 for this mic - maybe more. It also has excellent stage noise rejection. I've observed that I'm getting a lot less drums in the mic vs the 58s I usually use. Vocals are just better. I've not used it on instruments and am looking forward to experimenting with that too. ... show more

  • Perfect Choice!
Color: V7 - Gray
I'm thrilled with this mic. I actually bought the SM58 at the same time to compare. I felt the V7 was slightly crisper with less hum (wooliness) from the low end compared to the SM58. The V7 just sounds cleaner, clearer and refined. I was also debating between dynamic vs condenser for my home voice-over video narration. I feel this V7 is the perfect choice. As many pro reviews have said about the V7, you get the cleanliness of a condenser with the sound isolation of a dynamic, which is great for an untreated room. For the money, I think the V7 is a terrific mic. ... show more

  • Nice alternative to an SM57
Color: V7 - Vintage
It's a good alternative to an SM57. It has a bit more oomph in the lower mids, the difference is subtle, but I like it slightly better because it's something different from the millions of 57s and it maybe sounds a hair beefier. It is well made and very solid feeling. I love the retro hammertone finish on mine. ... show more

  • Excellent mic for the money
Color: V7 - Gray
I really like this mic for recording vocals. I bought because of a good review in Tape Op magazine, curious about how it might differ from some other mics I have. I had been using a Studio Projects B1 vocal condenser mic, which (for me and my voice and style) worked much better than the SM57 I started with. But after setting up the V7 and trying a few takes I decide to just leave it. Now it's a toss-up between those two. Seems an excellent buy for the price. ... show more

  • If You’re Tired of Dull sm58s
Color: V7 - Gray
For a $100 mic, Shure should immediately be replaced worldwide. These beat 58s by a long enough stretch to make SE the new go to inexpensive pro dynamic. It doesn’t take the life out of vocals, needing an immense amount of EQ like the 58s and has a naturally better sounding high end. If using a dynamic on acoustic guitar, it has a super pleasing raw sound comparable to some studio condensers I’ve used. I can’t compare it to every mic out there, but in a world where millions of sm58s are in use daily, here is your far better alternative for the same price. ... show more

  • This mic is a no brainer
Color: V7 - Gray
Se electronics has always treated me well. I own their ribbon mic and one of their condenser’s. So when I decided it was time to purchase a quality dynamic mic, se was a no brainer. This microphone is a solid piece of gear. It sounds great and for the price, how could you say no. I look forward to putting this mic to the test in the near future. So if you’re looking for quality without the price tag, se is the way to go. ... show more

  • Kind of like a Shure SM58 but better
Color: V7 - Gray
This mic is similar to the legendary Shure SM58 in so many ways. If you run a flat EQ and compare this mic against the SM58 I think you'll just find it sounds a little better. Vocals seem to have a bit more presence and sit in the mix better. For the price, you can't go wrong. I've noticed improvements on both male and female vocals in a live setting. ... show more

  • A very high quality sound for a surprisingly low price
Color: V7 - Billy F. Gibbons
I purchased this mic for the clearer and more detailed sound its specs suggested over a traditional Shure SM58. I compared it in my studio and through my band's live pa set up with some of my favourite mics - a Sennheiser MD425 a very good Sennheiser MD421 mk2 and the Shure SM58 and it was very similar to the 421 and to my ear superior to the other two mics in clarity and detail. It was also a marginally hotter signal than the other mics and rejected feedback better than all of them. It will be my live vocal Mic of choice going forward for lead vocals. I was very pleasantly surprised by how good this mic is. ... show more
