5'11, 230 lbs and 45 years old.....really never planned to hop on a bicycle again in my life. After riding my sons e-bike I kinda got the bug, so I started shopping for a few bikes for my wife and myself. I chose the Sdream because it had full suspension, it looked pretty cool, and honestly I'd began to suffer from paralysis-by-analysis.....there are so many options on Amazon, virtually none of them are names I recognize or have any background to research....I found it difficult to pick one and finally selected based on aesthetics. My wife ended up with a step through style bike, also a 750W hub motor. Both bikes are a ton of fun and we have no regrets on the 3K spent. Comparing the two, The Sdream really is top notch. The bike simply needed to be unfolded to be ridden, it was packed perfectly. It felt like it was set-up at a bike shop. I was severely impressed with the master cylinder/breaking system (wifes' bike came with cable breaks). The breaking system and Shimano shifting system both function perfectly. Tires are rugged and inflated, and just coast like a dream. I'm frequently coasting while my wife is still pedaling or using her throttle. I'm really impressed with how well they roll in spite of their size. My wifes bike came packed in spray foam which leaked onto the back seat and appears to be permanent. Assembly was similar, but the fenders were tweaked, tires flat, and derailleur needed tuning to function. Just left a bad taste in my mouth after setting up the Sdream the day before. Initial impression of the ride was incredibly soft and I could truly ride the bike on any terrain available with ease. The power assist was strange and initially set higher than my liking. It was however really fun to ride (mostly with the throttle). After a few rides I discovered the configuration options within the controller. After decreasing the power assist on all of the lower power modes the bike now rides like I think it should. The power assist settings that worked best for me were: mode 1 - 8% Mode 2 - 12% Mode 3 - 25% Mode 4 - 35% Mode 5 - 50% Mode 6 - 75% Mode 7 - 98% Typical pedal assist riding is now done with either the mode 1 or mode 2 settings. I am able to pedal without the motor outrunning my efforts and still generate enough activity to elevate my heart rate. I'll kick the power assist up for traffic situations but usually live around 1 or 2. Now that the assist adjustment have been made I'm expecting around 45 miles per charge. Now that we have 100 miles under our belts in a couple of weeks it feels like I have enough experience to make a comparison. Both bikes are fun and should last a few years. My wifes bike is quite nice as well, but if she could ride the Sdream comfortably I think I would have preferred to have got her one too! The other bike requires the key in place for operation. While I see how that might be appealing for security it's been a hassle my wife deals with that I simply don't. Something I was surprised by was the size of the bike. It looks like a kids BMX bike at a glance, but actually is quite large. I would think someone 5'5" or less would have trouble getting going on this bike. It seems like 80lbs might be accurate. Our intention was to fold both bikes and transport them in the back of our SUV, reality dictates one bike can ride in the SUV. Ended up building a PVC based rack for the back of the pick-up and will likely never fold them again. I'd buy the Sdream again. But I do wish I'd understood how large these bikes are.....may have bought a fixed frame design instead knowing that the folding option wouldn't work well for our application. ... show more

LIKED: Came essentially totally assembled. All I had to do was charge it up and make some adjustments on seat and handle bar positions. Battery lasts an amazingly long time. The Pedal Assist is great and easy to get used to. I usually use the second level ("Tour") for a very comfortable PA with the gears set at 6 (out of 7). The throttle power is very strong and easily takes us (me and my small dog) up long, steep hills. Great that it came with a sturdy rack over the back wheel. The overall fabrication and design of the frame, wheels, etc. is outstanding (strong and beautiful). Love the computer display. DISLIKED: Not much, very minor things. Needs better lights; I'm ordering some real ones. Needs some decent instructions for adjusting front fork shocks. MARKETING IDEA: Why isn't anyone making/selling a nice, adjustable, lightweight "rack" that will stabilize the folded ebike in the back of an SUV? I'm going to have to make one for myself, but it would make an attractive accessory for any ebike that folds up into a "standing" position. ... show more

First and foremost! The customer service and experience was phenomenal and A + communication was fast, helpful and fulfilling. Like the description says.... WOW! What an excellent purchase. From the workmanship to the visual presentation is top of the line. I have been searching and waiting for technology and capacity to come closer to the price point. At the 1500$ cost compared to comparable bikes, this one has many positive aspects. Boy does this thing turn heads. Super powerful. Better be ready when in boost mode. Wheels are large and goes over large items easy, considering it's a 20" bike. Pedal assist is spot on with the cadence. Can accelerate to the 28mph in no time flat. Pulls hills with ease. Disc ABS front braking system on the front is adjustable for different terrain or full on for safe in city biking. The battery seems to be able to all of the boasted milage. Name brand cell technology. Lights front and rear and an easy to see LCD screen. Strong latches for securing in the open stance. Has magnetic latch when folded. Comes with small tool kit and an air pump. But is Fully assembled and ready to unfold and go. Only dislike, needs a locking latch for when folded (still heavy and comes open when loading in an SUV) and need better LCD protection when folded, (latch for bars when folded or cover). Not balanced well on little stand when folded. Again only dislikes, in no way is that a negative or a reason to hate. Well worth the price! Will not be disappointed. Packaging is nice, used FedEx location inside a Walmart cuz unable to be home to sign for it. I have small hatchback, Fedex employee carted out to my car, opened box, took out small box w/charger and manual, rest of bike just pulls out and placed in car, Fedex guy even took cardboard back inside for me. 215 lb guy, was sort of hard to fold shut - had to really tuck the wires inside frame openings to close. Charger gets HOT, don't place on anything combustible. Thinking I'll try to keep it unfolded as much as possible, folding was difficult I felt. Once you get used to its handling, it's super fun and feels safe. In boost mode I got about 22 mph, which was plenty fun for me. I feel like this bike changed my life. ... show more
