- 1.The SCUMAXCON RCD360 PRO supports multiple languages, including English, German, Spanish, and Russian. The unit measures 8.46 x 7.08 x 5.11 inches. The panel size matches select RCD330, RCD510, RNS510, RNS315, RCD310, and RCD360 CarPlay installations. Please verify the dashboard opening and connector type before installation. It supports Bluetooth, rear-view camera input, SD card slot, USB input, touchscreen operation, and AM/FM radio. AUX input is not included. Designed for compatible PQ35 and PQ46 platform vehicles. Not compatible with MQB platform vehicles such as Jetta A7, Golf 7, and Passat B8.
- 2.Supports wired Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto through the USB connection, allowing access to compatible navigation, music, calling, messaging, and voice-control functions from the radio display. This model does not support wireless CarPlay or wireless Android Auto. A compatible iPhone with iOS 10 or later is recommended for CarPlay, and a compatible Android phone with Android 10 or later is recommended for Android Auto. Compatibility may vary depending on the phone model, operating system, app, and USB cable. Built-in functions include Bluetooth, SD card, AM/FM radio, and USB input. AUX and RDS are not supported.
- 3.The radio supports compatible Dynaudio and Fender sound systems. Some installations may require disconnecting and reconnecting the vehicle battery after the radio has been installed to initialize the audio system. This procedure should be completed according to the vehicle manufacturer's instructions. Compatibility and audio output may vary depending on the original amplifier, vehicle coding, and wiring configuration.
- 4.The RCD360 PRO is configured for vehicles that require a backup camera display. The reversing camera function is activated on this version. The radio uses an AV camera signal input. If the original vehicle camera uses an RGB or MIB signal, a compatible signal converter is required before connecting it to the radio. Vehicles originally equipped with RCD510, RNS510, or RNS315 and an RGB camera may require an RGB-to-AV converter. Vehicles with an original MIB camera may require a MIB-to-AV converter. Camera compatibility depends on the vehicle model, original camera type, signal format, and wiring configuration.
- 5.If a rear-view camera needs to be installed, please verify the vehicle model year and the license plate light or trunk-handle camera bracket size before installation. Camera bracket size may vary by vehicle model and trim. The radio does not support an original RGB camera directly; RGB cameras require a compatible RGB-to-AV converter. The radio camera function is activated on this version. Camera image display depends on the correct camera type, wiring connection, power supply, and video signal format.
- 6.Compatible vehicles may use different power connector types, including PQ Quadlock, ISO plug, and MQB Quadlock. Please refer to the connector images in the product description before installation. The package includes the PQ Quadlock adapter A by default. Vehicles with an ISO plug require compatible adapter B, which is not included. Vehicles with an MQB Quadlock connector are not supported by this product.
- 7.Before installation, please check whether the vehicle uses a PQ Quadlock connector, ISO plug, or MQB Quadlock connector. Adapter A is used for PQ Quadlock vehicles and is included in the package. Adapter B is used for compatible ISO plug vehicles and must match the vehicle wiring configuration. This product is not suitable for vehicles using an MQB Quadlock power interface. Incorrect connector matching may cause power, CAN communication, or function compatibility issues.

AWESOME CarPlay upgrade for my 2010 VW CC

Best value upgrade to my VW CC2010. - Good build quality (photo attached). Not sure if it comes from the OEM supplier but definitely feels and looks the same quality. The parts has no cosmetic defects like injection mold overflow or anything else. - Easy to install. Basically pull the old unit out and plug this new unit in power on and it works. I am still waiting for the antenna cables to come so now only CarPlay blue tooth. No FM/AM yet. - CarPay works like a charm. My main motivation of get an upgrade is to use CarPlay and this unit nailed it. I used iPhone Xs Max, with iOS 13.1.2. The CarPlay just works. The firmware of the unit seems pretty old and has some bugs some times (for example CarPlay may have no response), but unplug phone and plug back solves the problem. Maybe manually update the firmware can solve this issue. - All control on steering wheel works ask well (next, previous, volume +-, even voice control can enable Siri, surprise to me)

GREAT UNIT

UPDATE: I put this at top so you can kinda see my most recent update before seeing my older review. The system works great! I found out that the rear speakers are working and for some reason it all balances out really well! Yes I can only balance the front but some how it’s tied in to the rear speakers as well so it does it automatically all together. Also if you had built in Navigation and other features from your old unit from a premium or higher than base trim car then there’s nothing to worry about just plug in what you can and boom there you go. This radio unit is so simple just a plug n play! My only concern is and hopefully someone can tell me why but my rear speakers don’t seem to be working or connected to the radio unit. Only the speakers up front are playing but nothing behind my seat or the passenger seat. I found out when I tried adjusting the balance to the music. Also I have two extra cables left over I’m assuming one is for the built in nav from my old unit but I don’t really know all of it.

Amazing upgrade.. but I have some tips!

This product is extremely worth the money and works almost flawlessly. the touch screen is perfect and it looks great. I bought it to install in my 2012 VW Jetta with fender sound package and was having issues getting sound to play through speakers once I switched the OEM one out. I played around with it and figured out you can fix this issue by disconnecting the positive (RED +) wire from car battery, installing new unit and then reconnecting the battery terminal. this resets the amps and it works great. the sound gets a little distorted when you turn it up very loud but I don’t usually blast my music. If you have sound quality issues buy an Apple MFI certified cord to resolve. GREAT UNIT. I’m glad I spent the money, I’ll update with other issues when they arise.

Nice upgrade for my MK6 GTI, with only a few glitches.

Original Review: This radio is an upgrade for my 2012 GTI that originally had the RCD 510. I am very happy with the appearance as it looks completely stock. It's important to note that the RCD330 Plus does not have access to Sirius XM radio. This was not a problem for me because Apple CarPlay was the main reason I purchased this unit and I can still stream XM using the Sirius app on my phone. The unit looked brand new and free of scratches. Installation was a breeze. Everything was plug-and-play. Just make sure you order the correct antenna adapter, which is also available on Amazon. All my steering wheel controls work. I noticed that the USB port is active when the car is turned off, but there has been no issues with battery drain. The only issue I've noticed is that CarPlay can be a bit glitchy. I have no problems with my phone in my other car, so I know it must be this unit. Every once in a while, audio from my phone will cut out. Sometimes it happens in the middle of a drive. Other times there's an issue as soon as I plug in my phone. CarPlay will appear to be working properly on the screen, but music from my phone will not come through the car speakers. Removing and replacing the USB wire always resolves the issue immediately, but it's annoying to deal with. I have tried using generic cables and official Apple cables, but the glitches still remain. Another annoying thing is the back-up camera. Since I don't have one installed on my car, the radio displays a warning that the camera isn't active. Sometimes the warning goes away when I put the car in drive, but most of the time it doesn't go away. I have to tap an X to close out the message manually. All in all, even with the glitches, having access to CarPlay with a stock-looking head unit is worth the minor annoyances. I'm not an Apple fan boy by any stretch of the imagination, but for me, the CarPlay UI delivers a better user experience than any other modern car I have driven. Update December 29, 2019 I just upgraded my review from 3 to 4 stars. After about a month of usage I figured out why CarPlay was glitchy. My phone was still connecting to the OEM Bluetooth module. Once I permanently disconnected from my car’s Bluetooth and only relied on the USB connection with the radio, all audio glitches stopped. The only reason why I’m not giving five stars is because the radio keeps looking for a back up camera. Since my 2012 GTI doesn’t have one, I have to manually clear the warning prompt by pressing an X on the screen whenever CarPlay is active. If CarPlay is not in use, the warning prompt usually disappears on its own once the car is over 15 mph.

Faulty radio/bad customer support experience

Don’t order this radio. Since I’ve had this radio, I’ve fought tooth and nail to get it to work in my 2012 GTI. the radio will randomly turn off and turn on again constantly, and lags really bad as well. When on CarPlay, the radio goes into a boot loop and turns on and off. The only way to prevent that is to hold the power button down. Sometimes the power button doesn’t work either and my radio is stuck on. I will also come out to my car in the morning or at night and the radio is randomly on (with my key completely away from the vehicle and not in the ignition). The customer support is terrible as well. You will get a QR code in the box that puts you into a giant WhatsApp group that has people complaining all day about the radio and the problems I’ve mentioned above. Worst part is the photos people send there will default save to your camera roll. I’ve tried explaining my issue to customer support and they are playing dumb and refusing to help. Seriously, don’t buy this radio or do business with this company.

Best money ever spent. Great unit

I was a little skeptical at first since I read people were having trouble with the screen going off every few minutes. I still decided to order the head unit and was not disappointed at all. The install was extremely easy and my unit came in mint condition. I would highly recommend buying a car panel removal tool to make breaking clips less likely. The quality of the screen is really nice and the unit works flawlessly with my iPhone XS. The only pet peeve I have is that my 2013 VW GTI doesn’t have a backup camera and every time I put it in reverse it shows a camera screen and gives an error (for obvious reasons). However, you can simply just exit out of the screen. I wish there was a way to shut off the back up camera screen. Other than that, this is the best thing I’ve ever purchased. Makes my car feel a lot newer. Shipping was extremely fast as well. Also, just a side note for anyone who has researched RCD 330s; this is a Desay unit, which is the better brand RCD 330 you can get.

Nice Upgrade

Looks factory, feels factory, and my steering controls still work! Nice upgrade for my 13 passat tdi se. Even fade works(look at other reviews). Easy to install, and on my 13 I didn't need an antenna adapter besides the one they provide. Go ahead and order one Update: has been a month since I received it and I have only one complaint. It says no reverse camera installed every time I go into reverse other than that looks and sounds like factory(other than it has android auto lol) I've put 5000 miles on my car in that time driving to and from out of state and its been utterly amazing

I love this screen. I wanted to get a touchscreen but I wanted one to match my interior and I found this radio. It’s is amazing, I like that it has Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay. Only downside is, once in a while the USB apple CarPlay will act up. I will usually just unplug and plug again. But if that doesn’t work a quick restart (15-sec pressing the power button down, until logo appears) and it works! I’ve only had to that like twice.
