The S30 series comes standard with a 32-bit air-assist motherboard and automatic air pump, which can be turned on/off intelligently(air assist turns off automatically when engraving and turns on automatically when cutting). Save the time and trouble of doing it manually or avoid bad engraving due to mistakes.
  • Powerful 5W Dual Laser Output: The S30 laser cutting machine combines 2 high-density, sharp laser beams into 1 to cut 5mm balsa wo-od and 3mm plywo-od in 1 pass. With high-pressure airflow from the air-assisted nozzle dramatically increases cutting efficiency, cutting more than 5 times faster than without air assist.
  • Higher Precision Engraving & Cutting: S30 series laser engraving machine adopts extremely sturdy 0.005mm high precision linear slide rail X-axis, and a 0.08mm x 0.06mm ultra-fine compressed spot, making it reach industrial grade engraving accuracy. Achieve detailed and realistic engraved images .
  • Expandable Engraving Area for Both XY Axis: The S30 series has an innovative XY axis expandable design. The original engraving area is about 400x400mm, we offer two additional engraving area options: Y-axis extension kit for 935x400mm, or upgraded XY axis expansion kit for 935x905mm(36.8x35.6") (expansion kits need to be purchased separately), which can help you better handle larger engraving or cutting jobs.
  • Longer Service Life: The S30 series laser uses an innovative replaceable lens that dramatically increases the life of the laser, more than 10 times longer than other ordinary lasers. When the lens is damaged or after prolonged use, the lens can be replaced to restore the cutting power. A free len is included in the package.

The media could not be loaded. I’ll start by saying I started off knowing nothing about lasers, I got the Sculpfun S30 Pro after reading a bunch of good reviews and being with in my price range and was not disappointed. I received the laser undamaged and with everything pictured in the box. Instructions were a bit confusing, but the Sculpfun company has YouTube videos on everything for their machines, from setup to cleaning and maintaining, so it took me about 45 min to set it up. I have been using this machine for the last three weeks almost everyday and have not had any issues with the laser itself, any issues I have had are all new user/ learning errors, for example, setting the correct power and speed for different types of materials. I will say that if you want to cut/engrave on bare metal, this laser will not do that. The metal will need some sort of coating ( like those paint coated bottles, or a ceramark type of paint). I do recommend this laser for beginners/hobbyists, and use google, YouTube, or the Sculpfun Facebook page to help you with the cut/engrave settings if you do end up getting this. ... show more

No dislikes. Quality manufacturing, powerful light beam, easy to assemble, easy to operate, I set one parameter and it was fully functional. I use it with Lightburn Software, another 5-star product. Be prepared to add an enclosure and exhaust system for safety.

I recommend buying a different laser. Everything worked fine for about the first 30 to 45 days. Since that time, I've had nothing but headaches. It seems like the laser will not maintain power. I can engrave an image on a piece of wood, save the settings, and come back later to do another engraving of the same image, on the same piece of wood, and they look completely different. To add to my headaches, the control module now seems to have difficulty maintaining the machine settings. In other words, it is not maintaining the home settings, which means it can't find center settings that are based on the zero-zero home settings. When it doesn't know where it's at, the laser module literally grinds its gearing, trying to get to a spot beyond the working area. I recommend spending a bit more and buying an Xtool. I would also expect that XTool has "reliable" support. ... show more

From what I've learned about other models that Sculpfun has put out before, this seems to address some issues / requests from users of older gear (air assist, X/Y home switches). I keep it busy and have no complaints about it. Making some amazing stuff.
