the large work area is a plus and the unit was well packaged and in excellent condition. The surface is steel so magnets work great to hold your workpiece either down or positioned. I use old hard drive magnets and they hold the workpiece in position and down on the surface.

Good product, just way too small to do any real work, partly my fault for not converting mm, I would definitely recommend spending a little more money and get a bigger one.

If you are starting out and need something on the cheap, this is a good match for you. If you are hoping that the sides will help you line up your work, please read other reviews and see that this is not square. I used it out of cheapness and not need and have since upgraded. It does work, but I am usually in a hurry when I get a chance to throw something on the laser and I need it square. Works, so buy or do not buy that is your choice.

The product was very nice quality it is just a bit misleading. The cutting area is not a true 300x200 it is actually a cutting area of 250x150.
