  • Affordable craft!
Color: White Size: 5lb
Second time purchasing this, super easy and fun to make random things with this and cheaper than a whole class. It’s only super sticky when you add a lot of water and hasn’t stained anything. Unsure of durability as I give most of my projects away.

  • good for simple projects
Color: White Size: 5lb
Good price for this amount of clay. I taught my 4th grade art club to make pinch pots and they enjoyed it! Very easy to work with, dries overnight and is easy to paint over with acrylic paint once dry. for more detailed sculpting you will need to be careful- some of the kids wanted to make trees and animals and it fell apart and shattered after it dried- if you are going to do this use a toothpick for extra support as any thinner sections will just fall apart. ... show more

  • Amazing!
Color: White Size: 5lb
The Crayola Air Dry Clay (5lbs) is an excellent modeling clay choice for kids, classrooms, and creative projects at home. The natural white color provides a clean, professional look and can easily be painted or decorated once dry, making it perfect for a wide variety of art activities and sculpting ideas. With a generous 5-pound supply, this product offers plenty of material for group projects, school assignments, or long crafting sessions. One of the best features of this air dry clay is how soft and easy it is to shape. Children can mold, sculpt, roll, and carve the clay without much effort, making it beginner-friendly and enjoyable for different age groups. The texture is smooth and workable, helping young artists create detailed designs while improving creativity and fine motor skills. Since the clay dries naturally without baking, it is very convenient and safe for classroom and home use. Teachers and parents will also appreciate the minimal mess and easy cleanup. The clay dries into solid creations that can be painted with acrylic or washable paints for added customization. Overall, Crayola Air Dry Clay is a high-quality, affordable, and versatile sculpting material that encourages imagination. ... show more

  • Perfect Air-Dry Clay!
Color: White Size: 5lb
This clay worked perfectly! It is easy enough for kids to mold into any creation. I used this for a science project and an art project. It's plenty enough for 1 classroom of kids (around 20 kids). It is lightweight and dries well. It took 1-2 days to dry. You can mold it with your hands or press an object in for an impression. It is very soft while "wet" and smooth and lightweight when "dry". It would be a fun gift for anyone who is creative and loves making things with their hands. I highly recommend this for parents, teachers, therapists, etc! ... show more

  • This clay is great for Projects
Color: White Size: 25lb
For a senior year high school project last year, I made the colosseum almost entirely out of this clay. My time limit was around 2 months, and I put almost 80 hours into this project. It ended up sitting on a 16-inch long base and weighed in at 6.8 pounds when completely dry. I used approximately 2 of the 5 pound containers. I don't think this clay is perfect, but I think of all of the options out there, this has to be the best option when making large projects and not having the option of kiln firing. Cracking is to be expected. When adding water to the clay or simply using it straight out of the package the moisture takes up a lot of space and naturally, it is going to shrink when dry. I ended up using cracks to determine where the weak points were. When filling in cracks ALWAYS overfill the crack, the clay that you put in is going to shrink, and it's easier to shave down bumps than continuing to fill in cracks that don't seem to go away. I found that carving this clay was easier than molding it. I included a picture of the details on the interior, they were for the most part entirely made by carving clay out of each row. This clay is really hard to make small shapes and strings with, so if your project is small or has tons of tiny details I would suggest picking up modeling clay instead, although making small details IS still possible, just more time-consuming. Joining pieces of clay together can be a challenge, I found that adding lots of water and smoothing down the sides of the piece you want to join to the project. Trying to join pieces in the "traditional" way (making a few lines in either piece, adding water, and pressing together) does not work with this clay, it's very stubborn. I had a big issue when starting this project as to where I was going to put it. I decided on a cardboard base, but I couldn't get the clay to stick very well. I found that gluing paper down to the cardboard and adding a thin layer of water to the top got the clay to stick. after the first layer, I had to deal with shrinking and added a second piece of cardboard to the bottom, since it bent the first one. Another trick I found was mixing acrylic paint directly into the clay can change the color and you can mix other materials into the clay- I used both of these on the sandy floor of the colosseum, beige paint and actual sand were mixed in and the clay worked just as it normally would. I seriously enjoyed working with this material, you get a ton for the price, and it works really well. This project was the first time I had ever made something large and to scale with clay, and while it does come with a learning curve, I really enjoy recreating places with it. Currently, I am working on a model of Mont St Michele, and after I will be working on making the Statue of Liberty ... show more

  • Perfect for crafts, easy to use, and great quality

I absolutely love the Crayola Air Dry Clay 5 lbs Natural White Modeling Clay! It’s a great option for both kids and adults who enjoy crafting and sculpting. The clay is soft and easy to mold, making it perfect for beginners and classroom projects. It holds its shape well and is very forgiving if you need to adjust or fix details. I also like that it’s air dry, so there’s no need for a kiln or special tools. Once it dries, it becomes sturdy and can be painted or decorated easily. The 5 lb size is generous and lasts a long time, which makes it great for group activities or multiple projects. Overall, this is a fun, versatile, and reliable sculpting material that’s perfect for creative projects. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Incredible Value and So Fun to Create With
Color: White Size: 5lb
This stuff is awesome and you truly get a lot for your money. The amount of clay in this bucket is perfect for multiple projects, and it stays fresh and easy to work with as long as you seal it properly. I used it to make a fake cookie for a craft project, and I was honestly blown away by how realistic it turned out. The texture is smooth, easy to shape, and works really well for detailed pieces. Once it dried, it held its shape nicely and didn’t crack, which is something I’ve had issues with using other clays. It was also easy to paint and add details after drying. Cleanup was simple, and I like that you can add a little water if it starts to dry out—it makes it last even longer. The only downside is that drying time can take a bit depending on how thick your project is, but for me that wasn’t a dealbreaker. Best for: crafts, DIY projects, classrooms, and beginners Not ideal if: you need something that dries very quickly If you’re deciding between this and smaller packs or cheaper clay, this is definitely worth it for the quantity and how easy it is to work with. I would absolutely buy this again. ... show more
