Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have not dived with this yet. So my comments are about build quality which is high. I am using this to replace an older plastic reel. The build quality is great. I am interested to see how the inner spinner mechanism holds up over time and repeated exposure to salt water ---time will tell.

Pluzluce Scuba Diving Reel, Large Spinning Spool Finger Reel with Double-Ended Bolt Snap Clip w/with 100ft High Visibility Line This is a nice update to the finger spool, and allows you to let line out quickly. The only drawback is that it is a little harder to hold onto when winding it back up, there or no ridges on the edge of the spool to grip, and if you put your finger inside, it can turn more easily. So it take a little bit to get used to. The leader loop is nice and big, and the leader swivel turns freely. I unspooled it completely and found that it was tied at the end to the spool (good job).

Great compact and very functional reel - prefer over several others I’ve had. Thought “flat” cord would be great / help with quantity of line on the spool (and it does), but it twists very visibly when being rewound. Not a deal breaker by any means. Love it but would prefer similar line, albeit round.

This is a pretty nice reel. As I started setting it up, I could see it was an upgrade from my current reel. The center spool spins smoothly (though a center rotating spool is not strictly needed in a finger reel). I like that it includes a 360-degree rotating spool as well to reduce line rotation (though again, this is not strictly needed). The best part of the reel is its aluminum, well-built and just looks good. They did not overload the reel with line which means access to the side holes are accessible without needing to cut line. The 360-degree rotating spool is pre-tied to the line and has a small black loop attached. If you do want to shorten your line, you will need to cut the spool and loop off and reattach. They did a nice job attaching it, including using a shrink tube to keep it from fraying so it would be a shame if you had to do this.

I really like this reel. It's a great free spinning reel that i use for my dive buoy to show my location while underwater. The line is strong and winds back up quickly. It is light and small so doesn't add weight to my dive bag.

What it is: Machined and blue anodized aluminum reel with plastic center bushing. Includes 100ft hi vis nylon line with swivel end land includes dual snap clip. Why I like it: As an IT pro, this is a great tool for pulling cable and a pull line through a conduit that doesn’t already have a pull string. The nylon line is light and strong enough for runs less than 100ft, and can easily be vacuumed through a conduit. The reel is of great quality, and I can hang it from a ladder and feed line into a conduit without snagging, then pull the cabling and pull string back through. Overall, an excellent addition to my tool kit.

I got this to help manage an anchor for an inflatable kayak. The reel is good quality aluminum and spins freely on the plastic axle (which looks to be made from POM which gives it some lubricity even out of the water). I look forward to putting this to work on the lake.
