Description

The Kryptonite Kryptolok Standard U-Lock features a 12.7 mm hardened performance steel shackle with a double deadbolt anti-rotation design that resists bolt cutters and twisting leverage attacks. The lock’s disc-style cylinder with center keyway is protected by a vinyl coating and is pick and drill resistant. The keyway also features a sliding dust cover to protect the cylinder from dirt and debris when not in use. It includes two stainless steel keys with an ergonomic design to reduce torque and keep them from bending or breaking. Rated at a 6 / 10 on our security scale, the Kryptolok Standard is good for quick stops in a metropolitan area, a couple hours in the suburbs, or all day & overnight in rural areas. It also includes our patented FlexFrame-U Bracket providing convenient multi-location U-Lock transport. This lock is also bundled with a KryptoFlex 410 (4' 10mm) double looped braided steel cable for securing front wheel or accessoires. We mounted these to our Lectric XP 3.0. Because of the awkwardness of the ebike frame, we should have went with a wider and/or longer lock. It isn't long enough to really lock a wheel real good, and isn't wide enough to secure the step through mid frame. This would be a good secondary lock for the XP 3.0, but not the primary. I use this lock for my Trek FX3 Disc. It can fit the frame and rear wheel at an angle but it would be nice if Kryptonite created wider shackles. I loop the cable around my front wheel for extra protection. So far my bicycle has been untouched.

Bought used, arrived like new! Seems like a sturdy lock and cable, also comes with key/cobo registration in case you lose or forget you key/combo, you can replace them. Another bonus, not available with all locks from kryptonite, register you bike separately than the keys and they will replace if stolen while using their lock systems.
