  • It's startling to discover the smartest thing in your house isn't you.
Color: Green
My wife received this calculator today from Amazon. It has the usual calculator functions plus a whole bunch of advanced mathematical functions that are over my head. If we ever need these functions I'm not sure who we will call on to show us how to perform them using this calculator. It's shocking to know that my wife now has a device that is smarter than I am! Technology keeps on rolling forward; I just hope that it doesn't roll right over me. ... show more

  • Moderate alternative to more expensive options
Color: Green
Got this for my high school junior to use in school. She really likes it. It does more than her previous calculator, is a pretty blue color, weighs almost nothing, and seems to have a fair amount of functions to it. The screen could be a bit clearer. The biggest issue to me is you had better not lose the manual. It has directions on how to use all the functions, but if you lose it, you may struggle to figure out how to accomplish things. I docked a star for this. I would've liked to have seen some way to better carry the manual with the calculator. It's a lot to print on the inside of the cover, but perhaps a QR code to a digital version you could use to get it on your phone. Overall, a decent option to the expensive ones, but if you're planning to follow along with your teacher/professor, you may need to get the specific brand and model they suggest. But for getting through things on your own, it should work good enough. ... show more

  • Perfect for those higher lever math and engineering classes.
Color: Green
A great working scientific calculator in a very cool color. That is what attracted me to this product. The color is pretty and much different from the usual black ones.

  • This calculator is of inferior quality.
Color: Black
I sent this calculator back. It uses button batteries only. Do yourself a favor and get a casio or Texas instrument calculator!

  • It's okay
Color: Black
Not as as good as the TI calculator but it's much cheaper. The screen doesn't show your previous calculations.

  • Great variety of functions
Color: Green
This calculator was a lifesaver for algebra and precalculus. Once you figure out the functions & operations, it’s great. Buttons can be a bit finicky, meaning if you don’t press hard enough the calculator doesn’t recognize the button press, which can result in missing numbers in equations. While you can use the arrow to go back, the only option to correct an error is to write over it, not “insert” if that makes sense. So if you need to add a missing number, you can use the arrow to go back but the number you add will overwrite the existing one instead of adding it before or after. It has good sized buttons, is easy to read and good looking, but I prefer the more accurate older Casio calculator I own. This isn’t bad though! Just make sure you double check your work/inputs. ... show more

  • Very hard to use, uses coin cell batteries
Color: Green
First, simply the design and layout. 1. It's mint green 2. The cover is nearly impossible to remove, doesn't matter if it's on the front or the back. 3. The cover should have a cheat sheet for common instructions. Instead it has an ad for what the calculator can do. 4. It uses coin cell batteries (cr2032). These have a shorter life and cost more than AAA. 5. Screen is worse than what I had in high school in the 90s. As a calculator: 1. It does not scroll as you enter data and calculations. Previous entries are accessible by replacing the current one with the up button, but once you turn it off it's gone. 2. It can do a lot as a calculator, but you'd better not lose the manual! There are no on screen instructions and it's not intuitive. 3. Graphs don't even use the whole screen. 4. Can't calculate the intersection of two graphs (manual says you can approximate it with zoom and trace) 5. It says it can do integration, linear regression, etc, but I can't find anywhere if it can do derivatives. I would not send my kids to a test with this, if it's even on any approved lists. Without the manual it is useless. With the manual, it's simply frustrating. ... show more

  • Takes some time to learn. Good value though.
Color: Green
This calculator is packed with the standard features that an engineer or scientist would need. It comes with a quick sheet on the back of the cover for standard functions, and is lightweight. As far as programming, the calculator takes a little bit of time to get used to since there are so many functions and the text for second functions is orange color, and not the most visible. Once you figure out where the functions are, it’s pretty simple to use for every day analytics. It also draws graphs pretty well. The manual is pretty good, but come with patience. ... show more
