I was installing it and barely tightened the 12v turn on wire and the post snapped right off, pretty upsetting because now I have to go return this and buy a good one like I wanted to. don’t waste your time with crap like this. Get a good brand

I use it for a quick disconnect for my solar inverter and is still working everyday . 400 amps is no problem but relay is very hot and do not touch it when on .

Worked for 6 months..all of a sudden I'm having bass issies..I tested the unit..has 14.3 going to 1st terminal..so car starting battery is good....second terminal reads 10v and goes down from there..with the car running...means second battery is not getting charged.. solenoid is not working dammit...sent this to the seller..am awaiting a reply....none yet... bought this for large car stereo (second battery)..took quite a while to finally install..batteries (needed two) got quite expensive and had to budget for them..finally got it together and installed...been 6 months and started having sound issues..traced the problem to..guess what...your isolator switch.now before i buy a second one because they are cheap,id like some assurance that this isnt a piece of crap and it was a fluke that it failed.because if this fails again i will CRUCIFY you in a review..i wont hold back..tell the truth..should i buy elsewhere or is this a good product? too harsh? ... show more

    • Malfunction Relay
Purchased this product 4months ago and it barely works now sometimes chargers both batteries sometimes chargers one battery and sometimes chargers neither battery so buy this at your own risk

    • Relay is mechanicaly faulty.
Contacts doesnt always "clap" together as it should and consequently dont give contact. If you lightly tap on casing, relay claps like it should. Sumarum: chinese garbage! Voltage on coil is correct and matches 12V coil rating. I also tested reverse polarity, the result was the same.
