    • I am always very popular when I pull this out.
I got the pink one with a color screen because it looked fun. It turns out, you don't really need the color screen at all and the outside does not need to be pink. I would not suggest spending the extra money on those two features. The color screen is only useful if you are looking at graphs but if you have some understanding of the basic/parent functions, you can differentiate between all the lines on your screen. without it needing to be a different color. I purchased a case for it but I never use it. I just use the sliding plate that it came with and never had an issue. The downside is that the product is bulky and even though I use it almost daily, it still feels like a burden. The bright color shell draws attention to you so if you are an introvert, stick to the traditional black shade. The charge holds well but if you are enrolled in a spring or fall course, you will need to charge it almost weekly. ... show more

    • Overal, Great device with many functions, but it has some downsides
So much better than the ti-83 I used before this. It's much more user friendly, has a much nicer screen with better resolution and it can actually do way more than I initially realized. I used to always use desmos and I thought such expensive calculators were stupid considering the availability if free apps, but this can do WAY more than any app I've ever tried. It will display answers in any format you want (decimal, fraction, or mixed number) and convert between them, graph polar and parametric equations very easily, do matrix calculations, do complex number calculations, and a host of other things I haven't tried. I took off 1 star because equations must be in the form "y=" so you can't easily graph something like "x²+y²=1" for example. You also can't display 2 equations in different coordinates simultaneously, which you can do with the FREE Desmos app. It will also take a little while to graph complicated equations, compared to free graphing apps and websites. There's also a bit of a learning curve to it. Its not at all obvious how to do anything more than arithmetic and maybe basic graphing with it. It's not that hard to learn though. Definitely better than the 83. It comes with a straightforward manual that explains the most common uses and a quick Google search should tell you how to get it to do whatever you need. Play around with it for a while, using Google as needed and you'll figure it out relatively quickly. ... show more

I got this for my child who is in high school. It's a little pricey but it is a very good and useful calculator. This is the latest generation of the Ti-84, which has been popular for years for students. My child loves the color and this model is slimmer and lighter than the previous generation. I had some issues with some older models of this calculator not being able to connect to my PC for updates and software downloads, but haven't tried with this unit yet.     • Small Scratches and Stickiness
I love everything so far. I like the color and it took 4 days (not including weekends) to ship to my house. The calculator also came half charged when it arrived. My package included chargers and computer USB to connect to my computer. But I found some flaws on my calculator. I'm pretty sure I also saw a comment about the cover of calculator not designed to cover the calculator when you're not using it. It seems like as if manufacturer was trying so that the cover would fit only when you use your calculator. Another flaw that I saw was that you can see small scratches on the calculator. I don't really mind the small scratches but it does bother me how I paid so much money on a calculator but get a somewhat scratched one. I've also noticed that the keys on the calculator was kind of sticky. It's not to the point where your fingers will get stuck but it's when you slid your finger across the whole calculator you will fill the stickiness. It's also sticky compared to the TI-84 Plus. I'm currently charging the calculator and I will soon test out everything. So far, I like what I see. ... show more

    • Great calculator with clear and colored screen!
Love this calculator. It's extremely easy to use. I have charged it once since getting it 3 months ago, use it a few times a week and it still has battery life. The only thing I don't like about it is that the screen goes to sleep fairly quickly. I haven't tried to see if I can adjust that, but sometimes that is annoying when I'm in class or doing homework. It was def used however for a used calculator it came in decent shape. No scratches, no dents like some of the other reviews I have seen. Overall so far I am happy with my purchase. I saved about 20 to 30 dollars getting it this way and unless it starts to malfunction then I suggest getting this if you are needing a TI 84 for your STATS class. I bought this for my college math classes I love the color (pink) and it works great Keeps a charge for weeks The only thing I should warn you about is This calculator will not calculate percentages And you will have to go online for tutorials Otherwise great product

    • Came with useless charger
I like the calculator, but you would think for the price you would at least get a charger that comes with one end that’s USB or at the very least the designated wall adapter. But no. I got some weird double ended plug with no USB and I don’t even know what kind it is so I don’t know what wall adapter to buy. Very disappointed. Luckily my friend had a charger for hers that had one end with the USB adapter so I could charge my calculator with hers ... show more
