The plus: * the bike was easy to assemble, despite the largely useless booklet. * the bike works well as a bike--it's merchantable thus far. It does what it's supposed to do. The minus: * the training wheels included are incredibly noisy, so much so that they make it sound as if something is wrong with the bike. * the assembly manual is poorly written. First, manufacturers should always have a bespoke manual for each product; don't make the customer have to figure out which of three product features apply for each step. Second, the explanations and illustrations were not well done. Fortunately, I've assembled enough Ikea furniture that I could figure this out without a book, but a good instruction book would be nice. * the front brake needed to be adjusted after a day's worth of use. * the front brake handle is made out of a notably lower quality plastic than other parts of the bike. ... show more

Can't keep the chain on it. Either too loose and falling off or too tight and making it impossible to pedal. Crank is crooked. My boy is devastated. I need to find him another brand replacement soon.
