Product was very easy to install, it took longer to open the packaging, as cited by a previous reviewer. My shade was a custom order as I wanted this shade for a very large front window. It was easy to communicate with the seller what I needed, and I received a fast and accommodating response. I was worried that the large size of the shade might mean it would be too much for the tension alone to hold it, but it works fine and has had no issues this far. The shade blocks almost no light but still provides privacy, which is exactly what I wanted. Would purchase from seller again without hesitation.

Great shade for renters: Good quality and no drilling!

The window treatments that come with apartments tend to be minimal; they often don't block out enough sun or provide enough privacy. Yet as a tenant, you're not supposed to go drilling the holes required to mount a traditional shade. My previous solution was to jury-rig a rinky-dink "temporary blind" on a tension rod: a pain to trim yourself, hard to raise and lower, and designed to fall apart in a year. I always wished you could get a normal window shade on a tension rod, and finally here it is! For only a little more than I paid for my old jury-rigged blind + rod, you get the whole thing, custom sized, and it's far better quality. (Note: at my request, the seller made my shade in blackout fabric, so I cannot comment on the standard "daylight" fabric.) The pull chain moves smoothly, and so far it's working fine. The only problem I ran into was that, since the tension rod didn't seem to have much give, I ended up sliding it up along the window frame and scraped off a bit of paint from the window frame. This may be more a problem with my install technique than the product: I wasn't able to get into a good position to get good leverage. If I had, perhaps the tension bar would have been easier to push in. But, just FYI, watch out for that when you install it. The shade has only been up since yesterday, so I can't comment on durability -- but it doesn't seem like it would fall apart easily. Seller was very diligent in handling customization and delivery questions. The shade arrived promptly -- much faster than I'd expect for an odd-sized international package. Finally, a proper window shade! Much better solution than the rinky-dink temporary blinds.

Great quality, sleek look, and easy to install

This is everything I wanted and more! It was so easy to install. My windows are an awkward size, like all city apartments so being able to customize the blinds are great. Also, there are so many coats of paint and really hard surfaces along my window which made drilling blinds in almost impossible. This was such a perfect solution for a clean, sleek window treatment! Love how it turned out.

Wrong size

I specifically asked for a 59 inch wide shade. When I received it, it did not fit. I measured the shade with the tension all the way pressed in and it came to 59 and a quarter inches. Really is no excuse for that. Luckily I had another similar window in a different room that is actually fit. The quality looks good, wish it was metal pull chain though. I have to buy another and this time remove a quarter inch from the size of the window and hope it fits.

Wrong sizes and missing parts

If I could give this a negative review I would. I needed 4 sets of blinds. I ordered two from this company and I ordered the other 2 from 2 completely different companies. The other 2 company's products were great, they came as sized and fit perfectly. Both of the blinds I received from this company were too big and were missing a padded part at the end of the blinds. The part missing did not really matter as the blinds won't fit in the window regardless. If this happens to you, you are completely screwed. They will not give a refund and after messaging the company they did nothing to replace them. So, I'm out a couple hundred dollars, have two sets of blinds I can't use, and am not going to have to spend more money to get blinds that fit. Just don't do it. It's not worth it.

I bought this one because I couldn't screw blinds either internally (metal windows) or external (wires above the windows!). I'm really satisfied with this one. The size was perfect (they even asked me again after purchasing to confirm the size, which was nice), it was easy to install, and it really blocks the light (maybe the picture doesn't show this well). The material looks like a poster, and it's nice.

Doubles as projector screen!

I’m not allowed to drill holes in my apartment, so I needed a tension blind to darken my room and double as a projector screen. I recorded the exact measurements of my windowsill as instructed, and I was delighted to find that the tension pole was PERFECTLY fitted to stay in my window but not be too tight. No damage to my walls, very dark, fits perfectly, affordable, and it even came earlier than expected. Super happy with it!
