The instructions were mostly easy to follow. I did have to fix a couple mistakes, but it was easily done. It was delivered in a few pretty heavy boxes which lead to the delivery driver to drag it along the concrete. Which in turn ruined the corner of the headboard. Also, a large piece arrived cracked. However, the company was quick to respond and sent me out replacements. It took a couple of weeks for them to arrive and I finally could finish putting the bed together. I put this together with some very limited help from my daughter. She would stabilize pieces when I needed help getting the four posts up and the cross railing. I needed some work gloves to get a good grip after a while. I caution you to use care when putting the shelves together because some pieces aren’t predrilled. I have one screw that made the side of the drawer messed up. This was my fault as the screw wasn’t put in straight up and down. I used more care after that and they turned out fine. I did have another issue a couple months after it was put together. My daughter tripped into one of the lower rails and it broke. I was really upset thinking it was going to be impossible to fix easily. However, I sent a message to the company and they were so helpful. They sent the piece right out. It only took a few days to get it and now it’s all fixed again. I am pretty darn impressed with their customer service! And so thankful. ... show more

Worth the buy, read the reviews, mine sums up several. The seller is very nice I have had to contact twice, once wondering about the shipping and the 2nd was we received one broken board that they are replacing. For the people complaining about shipping, they use fed ex which I DO NOT use and I have my own online candle business lol they are terrible, any time something is shipped to me it bounces around to different fedex locations in the same area for several days. Fed ex made a mistake and we received the last 2 boxes of the 4 late due to fed ex not putting them on the right truck and would not unload it on the weekend although this was their mistake which they admitted. That is not the seller. The packages are very well packed in boxes that are wrapped in bubble wrap then another box carrying that. I had one broken board that I told the seller about and only a few hours at that the seller contacted me. Great customer service. Putting together takes 2 people at least and time, we worked on it the last 2 nights and got the bed part together and slept on one night. It is sturdy, most of the people saying it's not sturdy are the ones complaining about the instructions I was right in assuming this when reading reviews before buying (instructions could be labeled better but work). My boyfriend and meet the 350 limit exactly, I am pregnant so it will be less in a month when I have the baby. We are going to add 4 extra slats and another bottom brace board just for piece of mind, he checked to see if the slats bowed a little under the bed when I was on it so that's why we are. The bed IS NICE and worth it. I am happy with this purchase and can't wait until it's finished. I will update after contacting the seller if anything changes about the bed. If you have problems just contact the seller. TIP FOR PUTTING TOGETHER: Half of the items are not labeled or they were and got painted over. We kept getting confused on the 4 posts of the bed so finally I said let's label them! After we did that it was so much easier. Stay organized while putting together, lay items up against the wall not in the middle of the floor, my boyfriend did this first and it made it harder. Most pieces are easy to tell which ones they are but it can be overwhelming if you let it be. Be patient and yes it takes a while but a great investment. ... show more

We bought this bed for our daughter, so she would have more room to play in her bedroom. We loved that it has stairs, and we would not have to worry about her climbing up and down a ladder. So I said goodbye to $1100 and ordered this bed. Then the adventure began. This bed is shipped via Fed Ex, and until this shipment, I'd never had a problem with Fed Ex. The bed comes packaged into 3 boxes - 2 for the bed and 1 for the stairs. The boxes are far to heavy for your average person to safely handle on his/her own. Thank god the boxes were doubly wrapped because the outer wrapping was fairly destroyed in transit. All 3 boxes were shipped from Canada to North Carolina at the exact same time. We received the 2 bed boxes at the same time. Building the bed was rather difficult as the red stamped labels on the ends of the pieces were not all correct. A few different versions were miss-stamped. The directions are just pictures with numbers - no wording. After putting the wood from the 2 boxes together, we realized we were missing a 3rd box for the stairs. Anxiously we awaited for the 3rd box. Every morning and evening I would check Fed Ex's tracking site, and every time I was met with disappoint. The website, nor Fed Ex's customer service could tell me what happened with the 3rd box. After 8 days, I magically appeared in Tennessee. Upon entering a main warehouse in NC, Fed Ex shipped the box an hour west and AWAY from us. The next day, it was shipped 45 SOUTH of us - literally passing our town! The next it was delivered. This box was torn up worse than the other 2 boxes. Again it was far to heavy for what 1 box should have been. Two pieces were broken thanks to virtually no packing material and rough handling. Other pieces were scratched or dented as well. Thankfully, my woodworking husband saved the day, and managed to repair the 2 pieces. I set to building the stairs. The screws were mislabeled for what we needed to put where. Some of the wood pieces were again miss-stamped. We have had the bed for a little over a month now (minus a week for the stairs) and so far the only complaint I have is the difficulty of changing the sheets. I realize this company is not at fault for Fed Ex losing our box and then shipping it to other random cities after it was found, which is why I gave it 4 stars. I did take off 1 star due to: the bad and too heavy of packaging, resulting in damaged pieces; as well as, miss-stamped/mislabeled pieces and hardware. ... show more
