Dandelions can have a root that does not go straight down so when you stick the tool in the ground it will go in easily. You may have to try on either side of the plant center to get the root. But it works great for me. I sit on my "grasshopper" and roll around my yard getting dandelions by the hundreds. This is sharp, just keep in mind. Itโ€™s kinda like weeding with a knife. But itโ€™s SO versatile, and I even use it to trim the shooters off my trees by grabbing them with the fork and twisting to cut with the knife side. Donโ€™t know if thatโ€™s what itโ€™s for, but it works!

I like that the handle is made of wood. Our soil is very sandy and gets packed and really hard. To get the weeds out from the roots, I had to actually use the hammer to dig out the soil. It worked great
