After years of using converted printers for sublimation, I finally decided to go with the Sawgrass printer, which is specifically designed for sublimation. The printer turned out to be absolutely stunning! I’m particularly happy about the Sawgrass customer service they provide. I ordered the SG500 printer bundle from Amazon, but unfortunately, the prints had visible grid lines. I promptly reached out to Sawgrass customer service, and after a few emails, they figured out that the printer I received was faulty. It was all resolved within a few hours, which was way faster than I had expected. They immediately sent me a replacement machine and the prints are absolutely beautiful for my sublimation projects. Just got delivered on yesterday and I STILL can’t seem to connect! Installation is horrible and Sawgrass should be ashamed to charge this much for a damn printer that doesn’t come with instructions! In very close to sending it BACK!

Wife has been using converted eco-tank printers for a few years with many struggles. The print quality and final result with the Sawgrass prints is a far higher quality and better result!

This printer is strictly a Sublimation printer. It is not for regular printing. Once it is set up, it works really great and provides good quality prints. The drawbacks are.... the ink cartridges are pretty expensive. And it is somewhat of a challenge getting it set up and ready to use. It will not work unless it is connecting directly through a 2.4ghz signal. If you can work through those challenges, it is a great printer. ... show more

I do own a versiflex and already have an expectation of quality and it did not let down. I’ve been running it for a few weeks and I’m honestly proud of what I’ve made. Mugs come out with deep blacks and smooth gradients, coasters are sharp edge to edge, and my poly tees keep their color after the first wash. Setup was fairly simple - drivers, print Manager, paper in, Wi-Fi paired first try. I barely tweak settings; reds, skin tones, and fine text land right without a lot of tinkering. No banding, no weird shifts, and the first print of the day is clean as it has an auto maintenance. For consistent, sellable results, it’s been worth it so far and I highly recommend it. ... show more

Be sure to look at the cost of the ink before you buy this printer. Sawgrass advertises that their ink keeps the lines clean with their automatic cleaning cycles, but really some of the conversions aren't that hard to upkeep. The ink is about three times the price of those. That being said, Sawgrass does have excellent color when the software works. I used to think they were best printer in the business because of their print manager, but their new print utility is worthless. You get dithering and bad colors on files which used to print absolutely fine. Also, if I ever power off the printer, or the power goes off (you're not supposed to power it off), I have to remove everything and add it back again, and that's an ordeal (especially if it's a networked printer). When it works, you don't have to think about it and it's great. Until they fix the software, which is required to print, I don't mean their design software, I wouldn't buy a Sawgrass. ... show more
