My dog developed a habit of digging around the foundation of my house (I suspect mice), but she would only do it if she was alone outside and particularly at night. I needed a way to train her out of the habit, so I picked one of these up and it worked really well for my purpose. It' pretty easy to understand and operate out of the box. The vibration is strong, as is the shock. I tested it myself on level "3" and it was uncomfortable! I started my dog on the same level, but found that I needed a slightly higher level to get a response. But after the first noticeable shock (following a vibration), the vibration was all she needed to snap out of it and leave the area. It took ~10 days of consistent feedback, but she seems to have ceased digging in that area.

I bought because 1)it has a screen with a light so I can see the features & levels setting at night when walking the dog., 2)it was on sale and 3)the reviews were good. I tested the Static Shock feature on my thigh on level 1 and it is VERY STRONG. I only use the Vibrate & Beep features but wanted the Static Shock feature in case I ever need it for the German Shepherd dog. Initially the device and all of the features worked just fine (day 1-2). I didn’t use it all day every day, but next time I’m going to really pay attention to the usage hours, standby hours, battery life etc. I’ve only had it for 6 or 7 days so far. Around day 4, 5 or 6 the Static Shock feature stopped working and the Vibrate and Beep features started working intermittently. Also it’s challenging to power off. I tried to long press, short press etc it requires a lot of pressure to hold the power button down on the collar device. The remote control power on/off button easily takes a long press to power on/off.. To pair the remote device with the collar device was challenging but doable. I ordered another one because I’m hoping maybe it was an isolated issue and maybe I just got a bad one. If it happens again, I’ll return it and order a different device and brand from a different company.

This collar isn't worth a dime. The remote and receiver both felt very cheap and fragile, so I doubt they'd survive a short drop. We also found that the collar does not work within the published range--it only responds within 15 ft, and even in that space it's unreliable. That said, I only wanted it to teach my dog to stay within the boundaries of our yard so I don't need a long range...until she runs after something and won't come back. That didn't happen often, so I figured I could still work with it. Now, I've had the collar less than a month and it no longer works even though both the remote and receiver are fully charged and paired. Even after pairing and unpairing the units several times, the receiver won't respond to any of the functions. Luckily for me, everything broke down well before the return window closed. Best to buy literally anything else.

Works well and my dog responds to it easily. Unfortunately, the collar broke after less than 3 months of use. We don’t even use it everyday or every week, only on occasions when we have other dogs over and/or food out. One of the pins that keeps the collar together snapped off last night and now we can’t secure the collar on my dog. hoping this is a fluke and would be happy with a replacement to try again.

I wouldn't recommend these, unless you are 100% sure you're never using the electric shock, or if you have a big dog and you know you'll need a strong one. I have small dogs, all around 15 pounds each. I don't really plan on using the shock part, I'd rather rely on the beeps and vibration, but I'd like to have the shock as an option if it's ever needed. These collars shock way too hard, even at the very lowest setting. I bought this and another set (eufy) both on Black Friday sale, and I tested them both by holding the prongs against my arm to simulate how the collar would sit on my dogs' necks. With the other set, when I turned it down to 1 I didn't even feel the shock, but I started to feel it around setting 3 and it started getting uncomfortable around setting 5, then it actually hurt once I turned it up to 7. Those collars have 16 settings, though I never tested it on the very highest settings. By contrast, when I used this collar at the very lowest setting, I almost dropped it because it hurt so instantly. On setting 00 I couldn't feel a thing, but on setting 01 it shocked so hard I got a red welt on my arm. I'm sure there are some unruly big dogs who would need a strong shock to get their attention, but I'm not subjecting my little dogs to that. I turned it up to 10 and felt no difference from 01. This thing goes up to 99, I didn't even try that. These collars came with a little light bulb for testing the shock, and when I used it on setting 01 and 99 it lit up the same. I've accidentally shocked myself on exposed electrical wires in my house, and this hurt worse than that. I cranked the other collars up to 12 and that felt about the same as this one, which means that other set could actually go even stronger, but also could be used at lower settings. I returned these and just bought another set from the other brand.
