I’m pregnant and put this together on my own so I don’t know what people are talking about. This piece is EXCELLENT...especially for the price! I purchased one for my 7yr old’s bedroom and I’ll be purchasing a second shortly for the nursery...I’d buy one for myself if I had the space! Product came quickly from amazon with reinforced edges around the cardboard box and wrapped in plastic. Materials inside were packaged well. No damage whatsoever. BUT IT IS HEAVY!!! I had to bring a few pieces inside on multiple trips...it would be heavy for 2 people to carry in. Easy to assemble if you can read and know the difference between a screw and a nail and your left from your right. Instructions are great; easy to follow with pictures and written instructions. Pieces are all numbered...yes there are a lot of pieces but most go to the drawers which are the easiest to assemble and it’s rinse and repeat. As far as complaints about the drawers not sitting right...or getting “stuck” when pushed in all the way...obviously people failed to see step #18 where it tells you how to adjust them so they sit appropriately. I added a picture...turn the silver piece a small bit one direction or the other. It may take a few attempts but it’s not a difficult process. The first drawer I inserted got “stuck” so I read through the instructions...followed them...and voila!...a working drawer. Read the instructions and you’ll be fine lol. As far as tipping risks for parents...it comes with wall straps. But I personally tried to tip the thing and I couldn’t lift it a millimeter off the ground. It’s extremely heavy. But still better safe than sorry so use the strap. Drawers are pretty deep which was actually my biggest concern prior to purchase. Plenty of room. Pictured next to 12” cube cubbies to give you an idea. As far as I can tell it’s pretty close to being a true white despite being called “soft white” which is what I wanted so that’s fantastic. I didn’t install hardware because I’m purchasing a more “princessy” type for my daughter at her request. The handles are nice but I’m not fond of the knob pulls...that would be my one complaint if I were going to use them. The top is like a brushed silver but the bottom is more black. Seems strange. Overall well...worth the price and time to assemble (under an hour). ... show more

I was SOOO WORRIED!! With all the bad reviews about the drawers. So, I took my time read everything through. And assembled in between 2 days. A bit first day the rest on the second. It came out PERFECT! Looks beautiful. I believe all those bad reviews are because of their own mistake?? Not sure, but the drawers hardware have different numbers 40DD and 40DC??? They look exactly the same but slightly shows different letters DD xDC . My advice is to pay attention to that. Be careful with the drawers hardware.. ... show more

When put together properly this dresser is sturdy and very heavy duty. I was leery to buy from reading the negative reviews but I bought it anyway because of the low price. So glad I did. Absolutely LOVE this dresser! It’s beautiful, great quality, and super easy to assemble! It is a perfect size for an adult, child, or infant. Has plenty of drawer space and is a perfect height (pictured with baby clothes). I left the handles off (pictured) because I’m going to get a matching pink set for the nursery, but the ones it came with are still nice. It came well packed and protected; not a single scuff or scratch on the item, despite the box being a bit beat up. It is a little on the heavy side, but that’s because it’s all good quality and not cheap boards. Still pressed boards, but not at all flimsy. So, I’m 38 weeks + 5 days pregnant. I moved this inside, unboxed it, and put it together all in under 1 hour 40 minutes. Ignore reviews complaining about all the pieces, the need for shots, etc. It’s not difficult at all! Simply line up similar pieces together along the wall as you unbox it, then go through the directions one page at a time. You’ll need a hammer, a screw driver, and a drill if you have one. The drill can be used on almost all screws; don’t use it on the big white screw locks, and don’t drill the drawer slides 100% tight- the drawer slides need to be able to be adjusted with the silver piece (pictured). I love this feature because I was able to match up the spacing for all the drawers, so it looks even and nice. The drawers have a bottom piece to reinforce them, so no more hassle of the bottom falling out of cheap dressers! Almost everything screws together, which is so much more sturdy than tiny nails or little wooden dowels like other brands use. This dresser is good quality and requires more effort to assemble than your basic dresser from Wal/Targ/Ikea/etc. But like I said, simply line up the pieces and go one page at a time. It really is not hard at all, and is worth the little extra effort and time because it’s so beautiful in the end. Ignore the negative reviews about this being so hard to assemble or requiring alcohol (insert massive eye roll). I’m less than 2 weeks from my due date and this was easier than tying my shoes (little prego humor)! Haha ... show more

I can't believe (for this price, $145), how well made and solid this item is. It came pretty beat up and one end ripped open but surprisingly, everything was there and nothing was damaged. It took my husband about 2 hours to put it together but he's pretty methodical so maybe it will take others a shorter amount of time. Even though it's not real wood, it's VERY heavy. It's really pretty, too. And I love the fact that you can't open another drawer until you close the previous one. This prevents children from leaving all of the drawers hanging open at once. The box IS very heavy but came packaged very well. It took me over three hours to put it together but the instructions were clear. Just make a pot of coffee and take your time. You will not be disappointed in the end result. I love it!
