The wood “veneer” finish looks almost like walnut hardwood in person, even better than the photos. The overall design is minimal and elegant, with really nice brown wood tones, no red undertones. If you take your time putting the dresser together, being careful to follow all the instructions, the dresser is quite solid, square, and sturdy. However, assemble everything on a rug or blanket as it can be scratched, and avoid lifting the dresser by the top surface alone since that would likely pull the components apart (the assembled dresser is quite heavy). Lift the dresser by the bottom instead, without the drawers installed, whenever moving it. The only thing that would make it better would be levelers on the bottom to adjust for our uneven, old wood floors, which we had to shim. The drawer runners are nicely designed, making it easy to fine tune the minimal joints between the drawers so they don’t rub, and look great when done. I was hesitant to order, but I’m happy I did! I liked this specific dresser because I absolutely love pottery barn and west elm furniture, but I didn’t want to spend $2,000 on a dresser in this economy. This dresser gives the same look & it’s great quality in my opinion. It’s not super heavy, but it’s very sturdy, and heavy enough. I don’t regret purchasing this for my apartment. I’d say it’s a great dupe if you’re shopping for quality furniture on a budget.     • Nightmare to return and moldy

I received the item in a timely fashion which I was very happy about. It was extremely heavy and had to use a dolly to move it. After opening I started laying out all the pieces and was really excited because it really does look beautiful and nice material. I started noticed some white stuff on it which I assumed was dust at first, until I noticed some parts that had a good amount of round white patches concentrated in the same areas. MOLD. Honestly wouldn’t have been a huge deal if it the return process wasn’t such a nightmare. I knew I couldn’t carry it alone especially since the thick cardboard parts that were holding the box together were already off and I didn’t have tape to get it back together. Spoke to Amazon three separate times, two of which were around an hour long. Was told I was going to be called back the next day, and wasn’t. Called again and the girl in the heavy load moving department was extremely rude. Not only will they not help you tape it they make you schedule an ENTIRE day to be home and won’t call you in advance to give you a better time frame. I don’t understand why they want a moldy dresser back and why I couldn’t just throw it out. It would’ve been so easier just taking it piece by piece to my dumpster than dealing with all of this. Now even with the return I’ve ended up losing money from the tape I had to buy and wasted time I dealt tetrising all the pieces back into the box. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These are very beautiful nightstands, the height is perfect and the material is very sturdy and durable. Averaging out at around 60 pounds, if you live at the top of a few flights of stairs, you may want to mentally prepare yourself because transporting the package/nightstand can be a full body workout. I love it, however there are some minor disparities in the alignment of certain holes, however you’re unlikely to notice this during daily use. It’s also not properly leveled with the floor, there is a slight wobble when placed on top of paneled or hardwood flooring. ... show more

This dresser is just ok. It looks nice (at first), and I didn't buy it to be a family heirloom, but the outer "skin" is too thin. Likes: - Pieces feel heavy and solid (but the surface is too soft; see "dislikes") - Instructions were very easy to follow (took me and my child a few hours to assemble because I'm tiny and was sick and weak at the time, but a strong healthy adult who follows instructions could do this much faster in my opinion). Our time included taking 15 minutes to get the freakin box open, then 15 minutes to sort out all supplies before starting (highly recommended, if you are interested in this nice looking but easily damaged dresser). - All parts are marked (even those that don't have stickers) - It looks nice (except for the immediate white divoting [see "dislikes"]) Dislikes: - The outside layer of wood is super thin and soft; we assembled this on a large soft blanket, but by the time we were done, we had at least 4 divots already. - Where you get divots, you can see the layer below, which is WHITE so even tiny divots are very noticeable (see pictures showing some of the damage done just on Day 1). (I later very subtly touched up the divots with a light brown colored pencil, which is not ideal but better than repacking and sending back this HEAVY item.) - The handles were VERY hard to attach because the screw holes were too small on the handles. You'll need to enlarge these with a drill or really struggle to barely/almost get the screws in and flush. - Pieces fit together ok, but not super tight like I'd like. The dresser will be fine where it is, but moving it would somewhat weaken the structural integrity. We fit the pieces together perfectly and fastened well, but the cam bolts just don't hold it together as well as I'd like. ... show more

It was not complicated to build, but it did take some time to put all together. I want to say it took me about 4-5 hours with a few breaks in between. I think the directions were well written and clear, I just kept double checking a lot as I was building. Once it’s all together, it is beautiful and functional for my needs. ... show more

I love this dresser! It was time consuming to put together about three hours just taking our time and it came out great! Very sturdy and nice looking. Also lots of storage! I would buy again for sure.
