I don't normally leave Amazon reviews but I just had to for this one. I have been cutting and dying my own hair since 2017, and have endured years of box dyes and do-it-yourself bleach treatments. My hair is pretty thick and course, so it doesn't damage easy, but it would be wrong to say it isn't damaged. This hair mask has been my saving grace. I have tried a plethora of treatments, from cheap hair masks all the way to chemical protein treatments. Out of all of them, the Guacamole Whip hair mask by SAUCE has been the best. Which is surprising, because it isn't necessarily advertised as a cure to severe hair damage. Will this fix all of your problems? No. You should ideally pair this treatment with a microfiber hair towel, heat protectant, satin/silk pillowcases, and even a hair bonnet. A hair mask is not a replacement for taking proper care of yourself. However, this will make it ten times easier. It smells amazing, a little goes a long way, it is silky smooth, and it is AMAZING. I am very sensitive to greasiness and oils, and this has never given me issues. I honestly have had times where I haven't fully washed it out and it's been fine. If you're gonna buy a hair mask, this is the one. I truly think it will work for all hair types, too.

That’s when I started reaching for deeper conditioning masks like this Guacamole Whip Hair Mask, and I’ve been rotating it in ever since. First off, the concept alone is kind of fun. Avocado, honey, and argan oil in a hair mask feels like someone looked at a healthy breakfast and said, “what if we put this on damaged hair instead?” And weirdly… it works. The texture is a creamy whip, not too heavy, and it spreads through damp hair easily without feeling like it’s just sitting on top. I’ve used masks before that felt like they were coating my hair in something thick and hard to rinse out, but this one actually rinses clean while still leaving my hair feeling soft. After using it, my hair feels noticeably smoother and more manageable. The frizz calms down, the ends don’t feel as rough, and there’s a softness that lasts past wash day instead of disappearing the moment my hair dries. Agh! I’m not one to rave about hair products, because I’m lazy and bad at everything to do with hair. I got this as a gift a few years ago and finally busted it out after another conditioner ran out. Started to notice on days after I’d used it that my hair was super soft (but not greasy, huh???), shiny, and healthy-looking. Others also commented. So, it works. It’s not too expensive and lasts a while. I use it 2-3x/week, keeping it on for about 3-5min in the shower. I only use from about my ears to the bottom of my hair, which is how I use any other conditioner to avoid greasing out the roots. My hair is aging and getting drier, but on a naturally oily scalp in a very humid climate. The fact that this makes my hair all the good things without weighing it down or making me look like a soaked rat after a few hours is pretty shocking. Have already re-ordered.

10/10 Amazing hair mask!! I have 3B-3C curls and this mask makes my hair turn into butter! I love the slip this mask gives my hair. The scent is also very nice! As soon as I put this on my hair, it literally melts into it leaving it hydrated and so manageable! I tried so many high end hair masks like the Ouai one which was almost $40 and left my hair feeling like straw! I also got one called Fable from sephora and also left my hair tangled and dry! I then started looking into cheaper ones and this Sauce one gives all those high end hair masks 100 kicks in their butt! This works amazingly well!!! Works for curls and also straight wavy hair since my best friend has straight hair and she loves this mask too. I will continue buying this! I want to try their shampoo and conditioner. I wish they came out with a leave in that worked just as well as this hair mask! ( I tried a leave in from them that didn't work that well..) 10/10 I love this hair mask!
