  • Great addition for our new Mac Mini!
Style: NVMe SATA SSD
I ordered this at the same time as our Mac Mini and it works great with it. The Mini is very limited in additional ports, so this is a must have add on. It matches well and the Mini sits nicely on top. I haven't purchased addition memory yet, but seems easy to install. Great value!

  • Excellent build quality, perfect match for Mac Mini M2 Pro
Style: SATA SSD
Installed in under a minute. Perfect color match for my silver Mac Mini M2 Pro. Its made of aluminum. All the ports are recognized and function as implemented and as I hoped. This hub includes pre-installed rubberized feet and now my Mac Mini isn't sliding around my desk anymore. I purchased a Western Digital 2TB M.2 SATA SSD from Amazon. Hasn't arrived yet, but as others have mentioned make its a M.2 "SATA" SSD. I was not expecting to be this satisfied so I suppose it exceeded expectations. ... show more

  • More ports, but definitely affects WIFI
Style: NVMe SATA SSD
Pros: - Great hub that adds much needed ports - Matches the looks of the Mac Mini (not a perfect match, but the differences aren't too noticeable unless you're really up close) - No extra cable and power brick needed for external power. Everything works off a single cable plugged into the Mac Mini - NVME slot is perfect for Time Machine backups. Bonus, I finally found a use for the NVME drive from my Steam Deck (with adapter). Cons: - Setting the Mac Mini on top of this hub essentially cuts off the wifi. I believe the wifi module is physically located on the back, bottom part of the Mac Mini and is likely being blocked by this hub. It's obviously the hub since lifting the Mac Mini instantly restores my wifi connection. - "Fix": I bought a wooden frame to act as a spacer between the Mac Mini and the hub (see picture). That little bit of separation restored my wifi connection. There may still be some signal attenuation, but it's not noticeable to me. Also, the wooden frame is supposed to help with ventilation and adds to the overall aesthetic. Since I was going to buy it anyway, I consider that a "fix" for the wifi issue. Hope this helps someone else with wifi problems. ... show more

  • Must have with the Mac Mini
Style: NVMe SATA SSD
I really like that this fits under the Mac Mini and doesn't look like a third party accessory. I wish the ports were in the back because plugging things in the front looks a bit messy but it works really well and I would definitely recommend it for anyone with a Mac Mini!

  • This is a great hub for Mac Mini
Style: NVMe SATA SSD
This hub works great and adds the much needed extra usb, thunderbolt and SSD card reader ports. I am not having an issue with internet while using the base as others have mentioned. Love that you can add an external SSD.

  • Fits Your Mac Mini Perfectly
Style: SATA SSD
Looks and feels seamless with your Mac Mini. Out of the box my SATA 1T chip needed to be mounted with Mac's disk utilities, choosing the APFS option. Especially handy for anything to transfer SD card content, like photos from your camera. Also the SATA setup is a great way to add storage at nominal cost. I haven't needed tech support, so can't comment on that. ... show more

  • Great overall, but minor quibbles...
Style: NVMe SATA SSD
Form factor is wonderful. My Mac Mini is hardwired, so I've not experienced the WiFi dropout mentioned by others here. This device would be amazing if it split it's ports between the front and the back; for anyone who needs a clean workspace, having several cables jutting out of the front of this thing isn't pretty. Survivable, but the design could be better. ;) My main quibble is that if my Mac Mini goes to sleep, when I wake it, the SSD doesn't mount. I'm met with an error notification that I didn't eject the disk properly and I can't find the SSD on the desktop or in finder. A restart of the whole system fixes this, but it's annoying that it happens - and I can't say for sure if that's a Satechi problem or an Apple problem, but I'm starting to wonder if I should have skipped this device and gotten a vertical hub and separate SSD. ... show more
