  • Excellent way to expand
Style: NVMe SATA SSD
The Satechi Hub/stand fits the MacMini very well. It has an NvMe space for storage expansion. It has one USB-C port and with 3 USB-A ports plus Secure Digital card ports. The storage expansion accounts for the $99 price since the ports are fairly standard. It works well and looks good matching the M series Mac Minis. ... show more

  • More ports, but definitely affects WIFI
Style: NVMe SATA SSD
Pros: - Great hub that adds much needed ports - Matches the looks of the Mac Mini (not a perfect match, but the differences aren't too noticeable unless you're really up close) - No extra cable and power brick needed for external power. Everything works off a single cable plugged into the Mac Mini - NVME slot is perfect for Time Machine backups. Bonus, I finally found a use for the NVME drive from my Steam Deck (with adapter). Cons: - Setting the Mac Mini on top of this hub essentially cuts off the wifi. I believe the wifi module is physically located on the back, bottom part of the Mac Mini and is likely being blocked by this hub. It's obviously the hub since lifting the Mac Mini instantly restores my wifi connection. - "Fix": I bought a wooden frame to act as a spacer between the Mac Mini and the hub (see picture). That little bit of separation restored my wifi connection. There may still be some signal attenuation, but it's not noticeable to me. Also, the wooden frame is supposed to help with ventilation and adds to the overall aesthetic. Since I was going to buy it anyway, I consider that a "fix" for the wifi issue. Hope this helps someone else with wifi problems. ... show more

  • Perfect addition to Apple Mac Mini
Style: NVMe SATA SSD
The fit, quality, functionality and overall production quality is really good. The addition of a M.2 memory holder is a key feature. Highly recommended

  • Great little cradle with front I/O
Style: NVMe SATA SSD
A pretty great quality dock that rests under the Mac mini, addresses the need to move some of the ports up front. Only thing I would fix for another revision, is figuring out a way to move the power button u front as well, and make the M2 SSD instructions a little more simplified than those included. Otherwise it's a sleek product, and puts some shoes on your barefoot Mac Mini. ... show more

this is awesome I threw this on my Mac mini m2 and fits perfectly. real easy to plug in while still allowing airflow to the Mac mini. it is a really cheap way to ad storage to my Mac mini, I put a 2 TB hard drive in it with out having to pay outrageous apple prices for 2TB. comes with mini sd and regular sd slot 3 usb a ports and a usb all from facing so you can just add to it with out having to try and reach around back of the Mac mini ... show more

  • Works well, not miracles.
Style: NVMe SATA SSD
The storage options of a Mac Mini are limited and expensive. Internal upgrades officially don’t exist and tinkering requires skills (soldering) beyond typical users. The base is a port extension and effectively an external SSD that accepts NVME m.2 modules. As it’s connected to the computer via USB-C, PCIe speeds should not be expected. And the roughly 700 MB/s are respectable even if only 1/3 of the SSD chips inside the Mac Mini M1. The nVME SSD is a capable device with almost 7 GB/s (when connected to a PCIe4 slot. Hence, the results are not limited by the memory. In fact, the benchmark result represents effectively a 5 Gbps transfer (USB3) Mentioned SSD was a spare part from my PS5 and the typical heatsink (for PS5) is too tall to use the lid. Not a big deal. The SSD is on the bottom and neither visible nor reachable in normal use. There is a small gap to the table surface. Overall a great idea that fits the design of the Mac Mini while adding useful front ports and additional external storage.I just wish the connection to the Mac was a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 instead of the USB-C. The NVMe SSD would certainly benefit from a faster interface. ... show more
