This was so useful to me as I worked in freelance Commercial and Music Video production, that I came back and bought a second one after the first had worn out. Useful not, the storage of this will determine its range of use. The rubberized elements are held on with sticky adhesive, if not stored properly or store without care or too much pressure, it can allow the comfort grips that hold your MacBook in place. If you know you’re harder on your stuff, I would grab two. Perfect color match to Apple’s ‘Space Gray’ and one of my favorite MacBook accessories that is not Apple associated. It’s light weight, can fit into most computer bags; fitting into iPad size equivalent slots. Strongly suggest this for someone who needs slight lift on the go. Great product.

On a recent business trip I found myself using anything and everything I could find to prop up my 15" MacBook Pro. Staring down at my laptop every day had taken a toll on my neck and back and I was sick of it. I vowed that I would have some sort of laptop stand for my next trip and the Satechi is that stand. This is, without-a-doubt, the best computer accessory that I've ever bought. It's collapsible, allows for cable management, and features non-scratching, non-slip rubber at the base of the stand, at the top, and on the bottom. All that rubber keeps the stand in place and ensures that your laptop, no matter how large it might be, will not be sliding off. Finally, this thing is built like a tank and yet it only weighs a svelte 1.1 pounds. That's pretty light for a stand that measures roughly 9"x9" and is made from solid brushed aluminum! If you're looking for an awesome laptop stand then look no further. Update: This laptop stand has traveled all across the country with me and it is still working just as well as it did the day I got it. I don't travel as much as I did and this stand has found a home in my office. I simply cannot imagine having to use my MacBook Pro without it!

Overall the product is quite well constructed. Aluminum gives it a well-polished look and a durable feel. The package arrived promptly, but from the box, it seemed like, my product had already been opened or that someone had returned it. Pros: - Good solid construction - Viewing angle is great, and I think it helps user from hunching over (I consider this the best feature of the product for myself) - Very portable, so easy to carry back and for to work or just moving it around the house - Rubber grip at the bottom holds well and gives it friction against the surface it is placed on Cons: - I think there could be more rubber protection on the bottom surface where it touches the laptop. The reason being if your laptop doesn't have a bottom cover, it will be prone to scratching on this stand, so you have to be a bit careful. At first, I had a cover on macbook so there was no scratching, but I longer use the cover on the laptop and now there are some tiny scratches despite me being careful when I am placing the laptop on this stand... I got this for MacBook pro (2016), and it fits great.

Own 2 of these for my son and I. He runs a Alienware and I have the Razer Blade 15 which get HOT when running. These provide plenty of airflow and are really sturdy. They fold flat for portability. Satechi products are fantastic quality for their pricepoint.
