Sashco 13013-2 13013 5oz Sealants Clear Lexel Adhesive Caulk, 5-Ounce From the Manufacturer Lexel is a co-polymer rubber-based sealant. It has excellent adhesion to a wide variety of materials, even after seven days of water immersion. Although it's tougher and resists tearing, Lexel is a soft rubber. This allows it to stretch and compress with joint movement. Lexel should not be used in areas of continuous submersion (i.e., aquariums or swimming pools). Do not use Lexel in areas where temperatures exceed 200 Degrees F. Lexel may damage some plastics, such as polystyrene foam insulation. Plastics not listed should be tested for Lexel compatibility before general application.

Product was excellent as waterproof and durable for wet application. Clean up was a breeze. Note: read the clean up instructions prior to use makes life a lot easier for you and your wife. ;-)

    • Sascho Sealant did adhere in near freezing temperature.
I had an emergency situation where I needed to quickly make a seal between a window and the frame of the house where water was coming in at low temperature nearly freezing. This product was fairly malleable and went reasonably well into the small cracks. I suggest start by cutting only a small piece off the tip at an angle so you can work your way to correct amount coming out to fill the crack. Cut to large of a an opening and it runs all over.     • Excellent adhesion that remains flexible
The clips that hold interior panels in place on both of my cars had come loose from the back of the panels. The snap in clips that connect to the door itself had nothing to keep them connected. I removed the panels and secured the mounts in their original location and let them cure. I then put the snap in clips in place and snapped the panels back in place. This adhesive worked perfectly and the panels are like new again. This stuff puts Gorilla Glue to shame!! ... show more

I ultimately did not use this because it does have an odor. I was having issues with another clear caulking product with no odor which I finally resolved. I did make contact with the manufacturer of this product and was told it has an odor similar to nail polish remover for a day or two. With pets in the house, I did not want to use it inside in a common area of the home. I was told it is best to smooth it with your finger using soapy water or a clear window cleaner becuse it is sticky. I will try this in an outdoor application at a future time instead. ... show more
